Abstract: PURPOSE:To release overrunning and hereby enable reoperation, and further prevent an AC conversion transistor from being destroyed upon releasing overrunning of a variable frequency apparatus control part by recognizing the overrunning of the variable frequency apparatus control part with detection and with failure display of the overrunning, and interrupting power supply to the variable frequency apparatus control part. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a variable frequency apparatus control part 8, transmission failure detection means 18 for detecting overrunning of a data receiver 5 and displaying failure that transmission and reception are impossible, an electric power supply interruptor 19 for releasing an overrunning state of the data receiver 5 by the interruption of the power supply, and clocking means 20 for clocking the time since the detection of the transmission/ reception impossibility by the electric power supply interruptor 19.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a controller for a ceiling type air conditioner having a vertically movable suction grill to operate the suction grill in the same way as that when the grill is operated by means of a wireless remote controller even when the remote controller is lost by eliminating the difference in vertical moving distance of the grill resulting from a difference in power supply frequency and, when an excessive load is imposed upon a motor, by protecting the circuit of a motor driving system. SOLUTION: A power supply frequency discriminating means 15 which corrects the difference between the winding and unwinding lengths of a suction- grill hanging wire resulting from a difference in power supply frequency, a motor current detector 16 which detects the current flowing to the motor 8 and, when the current becomes a prescribed value or higher, instructs a switch controller 4 to open a switch 7, and a suction grill operating switch 17 and a suction grill operating direction changeover switch 18 both of which enable emergency operation when the wireless remote controller 1 is lost are installed to the switch controller 4 so that the means 15, detector 16, and switches 17 and 18 may be exposed on the outer shell of the suction panel of the air conditioner.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which moisture in a refrigeration cycle can be removed and molecular sieves can be protected against fracture. SOLUTION: In a refrigeration cycle, a bypass circuit having a dryer 13 provided with molecular sieves 11 in the central part and a filter or filters 12 for capturing foreign matters, e.g. dust or metal powder, in front and rear or on one side thereof is provided between an outdoor heat exchanger 4 and an expansion valve or a capillary tube 8. Furthermore, a calendar detection means 16 for measuring the time of every day, means 17 for switching a refrigerant circuit to the bypass circuit side in response to a signal from the calendar detection means 16 when a predetermined time is measured, and means for switching back the refrigerant circuit in response to a signal when the time elapsed after switching to the bypass circuit reaches a predetermined value are provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fault that a crank case heater is energized in a short time after the stop of a compressor and therefore the amount of power consumption is large, in a technique of suppressing the stagnation of a refrigerant in the compressor at the stop thereof. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an ambient temperature sensor 4, the crank case heater 8, a compressor oil reservoir temperature sensor 9, the compressor 10, and a heat storage material 11 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the compressor 10. The energy of heating in the operation of the compressor is stored in the heat storage material. As a result, the lowering of the temperature of a compressor oil reservoir can be reduced and the stagnation of the refrigerant can be suppressed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional air conditioner such that the quantity of power consumption is large, since a clank case heater for suppressing the stay of a refrigerant in a compressor is supplied with a current in a short time after stoppage of the compressor. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is composed of clank case heater 8, a compressor oil reservoir temperature sensor 9, a compressor 10, and heat accumulating material 11 arranged at the periphery of the compressor 10. Thus, the air conditioner can suppress the drop of the compressor oil reservoir temperature and can suppress the stay of a refrigerant, by accumulating the generated energy during operation of the compressor in the heat accumulating material.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the recovery of refrigerant from an indoor machine to the side of an outdoor machine surely without leaking the same to the outside upon pump-down operation in an air conditioner, in which the outdoor machine and the indoor machine are installed separately. SOLUTION: An outdoor machine is provided with a refrigerant pressure detector 21, an outdoor air temperature detector 23, a discharging pipeline opening and closing valve 31 as well as a suction pipeline opening and closing valve 32 while a pump-down operation controller 34 is provided with a pump- down predetermined time setting means 24 and an opening and closing valve control means 33. Accordingly, the pump-down operation is effected by setting a predetermined period of time of pump-down operation in accordance with the condition of refrigerant generated by the outdoor air temperature and a refrigerant pressure while the discharging pipeline opening and closing valve 31 and the suction pipeline opening and closing valve 32 are closed automatically immediately before the starting and finishing of the operation whereby the recovery of refrigerant is ensured and the leakage of refrigerant to the outside can be prevented.
