Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide stable moistening capacity by a method wherein the suction pipe and the delivery pipe of a moistening device are arranged so that an air pressure (static pressure) in an air duct part communicated to the suction pipe of the moistening device is increased to a value higher than an air pressure (static pressure) of an air duct part communicated to the delivery pipe of the moistening device. CONSTITUTION:When a blower 12 starts blast, air in a room to be air-conditioned is sucked through a suction grill 14a and flows through a return duct 14 to the space on the air suction side of an air conditioner body 11. The air heat-exchanges with a heat exchanger 13 and flows in the space on the air delivery side of an air- conditioner body 11 with the aid of the blower 12, the air being delivered through a delivery grill 15a to a room to be air-conditioned by means of a supply duct 15. An air pressure (static pressure) in the space on the air delivery side of the air- conditioner body 11 is higher than an air pressure (static pressure) in the space on the air suction side of the air-conditioner body 11. Air in the space on the air delivery side of the air-conditioner body 11 flows in a moistening device 16 through a suction pipe 16a. The air is moistened at the moistening device and flows out to the space on the air suction side of the air-conditioner body 11 through a delivery pipe 16b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the control of the capacities of a plurality of indoor units in accordance with the fluctuation of loads thereof, by a method wherein a variable pole motor, capable of switching the number of poles between 2-pole and 4-pole, is employed as a motor constituting a compressor while inverter control is effected upon only 4-pole operation. CONSTITUTION:In the constitution of a refrigerating cycle, the motor of a variable pole compressor 1 is capable of switching poles between 2-pole and 4-pole while the refrigerating cycle is constituted of an outdoor side heat exchanger 2, the first indoor unit 3a, the second indoor unit 3b, the third indoor unit 3c and the fourth indoor unit 3d of the indoor side heat exchanger 3. The refrigerating cycle includes also a gas-side main pipeline 4, a liquid-side main pipe-line 5, refrigerant circuit opening and closing solenoid valves 6a to 6d and choking devices 7a to 7d, which are necessary for the individual operations of respective indoor units while an inverter 8 controls the capacity upon 4-pole (low speed) operation of the motor for the variable pole compressor. When the number of sets of operating indoor units is many, 2-pole (high speed) operation is effected while the 2-pole operation is switched into 4-pole (low speed) operation when the number of sets of operating indoor units is few and, further, the control of the capacities of respective indoor units is effected delicately by the inverter 8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent deposition of a solid matter in a water tank by a method wherein through control of operation of the one or both of a solenoid valve and a drainage means, a state wherein water is reserved in the water tank and a state wherein water is drained are alternately repeated a plurality of times. CONSTITUTION:A washing cycle is started, operation of high frequency oscillators 3 and 3 is stopped, and a solenoid valve 5 is opened. A water level is raised over the control range of a float switch 7 to the highmost position of a siphon. When the siphon is filled with water and drainage is started, a water level is lowered. Thereafter, the solenoid valve 5 is closed, and the lowering speed of the water level is increased. The solenoid valve 5 is then opened and in this case, water in the water tank is drained, a jet flow through nozzles 4a, 4a... is collided with a float switch and a vibrator, and a solid matter adhered thereto is effectively removed. During a period in which the solenoid valve 5 is opened, a water level is raised to a highmost position in the siphon, and drainage is effected again. A heating operation signal is then brought into an ON-state, and the washing cycle is returned to the operation state of a moistening device.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce fluctuation in temperature in an air conditioned room by a method wherein an air directing plate arranged at an air blowing port is set at any proper angle to blow hot air during heating operation and the air directing plate is made horizontal by a motor for driving the air direction plate under a specified condition or the plate is automatically returned to its original air directing angle. CONSTITUTION:During heating operation, the angle of air directing plate is set at any angle. In case that a room thermostat is turned OFF and heating operation is being turned off, or in case that the room thermostat is not turned OFF, an air directing plate 6 is regularly driven by an air directing plate driving motor 10. In case that fluctuation in temperature in an air conditioned room is generated by a value more than a specified value, the plate is automatically varied in a direction parallel to a ceiling plane under an electrical control and then the air is blown in a horizontal direction. The air directing plate driving motor 10 is operated such that an air directing angle is set under operation of an electronic control device 12 and then stored in a memory. In case that the room thermostat 13 is turned OFF, the air directing plate 6 is driving in a horizontal direction under operation of the electronic control device 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate attaching and detaching of the filter and permit to effect attaching and detaching works without using any tool by a method wherein the air filter, equipped with a wire, is engaged with the flange of a suction port by deflecting the wire. CONSTITUTION:When the air filter, incorporated with the wire 17, is inserted into the suction port 8, the wire 17 is deflected until the length thereof becomes smaller than the suction port 8 by utilizing the resilient force of the wire 17. Then, the flange 15 of the filter 14 is inserted into the suction port 8 until a position whereat the flange 15 of the filter 14 contacts with the flange 13 of the suction port 8 and, thereafter, the deflection of the wire 17 is returned. In this case, the flange 13 is received in an interval P between the flange 15 and the wire 17 and the filter 14 is supported by the wire 17 whereby the attaching of the filter may be completed. When the filter is to be detached, it can be detached by deflecting the wire 17 and pulling the filter 14 out of the suction port 8, therefore, troublesome positioning work may be eliminated and any tool may not be necessitated whereby the work to attach the filter 14 to the suction port 8 or detach it from the same port 8 may be facilitated to a large extent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the facility cost and eliminate such trouble as blockade of drain pipes or water leakage by a method wherein water in an outdoor drain pan is sprayed over an indoor heat exchanger by using a water feed pump and a water feed pipe, and a hot pipe is provided on the bottom of the outdoor drain pan to evaporate water only in cooling operation. CONSTITUTION:Drain water 3 led into a drain pan 7 during cooling operation is evaporated by the drain pan 7 that is heated to a high temperature by a hot pipe 11. When the generating amount of drain water is larger than the evaporating amount, the drain water is dispersed by the circumference of a fan 4 together with air from a building. On he other hand, drain water is gener ated by an outdoor heat exchanger 5 during heating operation. The drain water generated is sent by a water feed pump 9 through a water feed pipe 10, and dripped from the heat exchanger 3, then it is splashed by the air flow from an indoor fan 2, evaporated by the heat exchanger 3, and mixed with the air in the room thus humidifying the air. Thereby, reduction in the facility cost of an air conditioner and elimination of trouble can be achieved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a heat-exchanger unit, to reduce a member cost, and to shorten a term of works by a method wherein an opening for discharge is formed closer to a chamber part positioned between a heat exchanger and a blower and having a pressure higher than an atmospheric pressure, and an opening for a feed is formed closer to a chamber part positioned between the blower and a suction port and having a pressure more negative than an atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:Indoor air flows through a blower 28 to a high pressure chamber part 31 by means of a duct 21a on the suction side. The indoor air is branched at the high pressure chamber into air discharged to an opening part 34 for discharge and air being air-conditioned by a heat exchanger 27 for air-conditioning and discharged in a room. Meanwhile, the air discharged through the opening part 34 for discharge flows to a heat exchanger part 22, where heat is absorbed, and is discharged to the outside of a room. The discharge of air is effected by means of a differential pressure between a pressure in a chamber and the atmospheric pressure since a pressure in the chamber 31 is increased through operation of a blower 29. Further, since a chamber 32 is brought into a load state, namely, since a pressure therein is lower than an atmospheric pressure, indoor air flows in the chamber 32 and the open air flows to the heat exchanger part 22. Thus, one blower can be shared for air circulation for air-conditioning and ventilation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize the favorable air circulation and at the same time obtain conditioned air with proper temperature from respective blow-off ports by a structure wherein the blow-off ports are provided in four directions on a decorative panel. CONSTITUTION:Indoor air is sucked by the rotation of a Sirocco fan driven by a motor 9 through a suction port 6 and an orifice 14 into the fan 8 and discharged to blowing-off openings A and B after being guided by scroll parts 13b and 13b' and 13c and 13c'. The air reached the blowing-off openings A and B are respectively divided by auxiliary scroll parts 13d and 13d' so as to be respectively blown against the long side parts 10a and 11a and short side parts 10b and 11b of respective heat exchangers 10 and 11 in order to be blown off into a room through air ducts 12a-12d from discharge ports 7a-7d. Accordingly, because conditioned air is blown off from the discharge ports arranged in four directions, uniform air conditioning is performed, even if a main body 1 is located at the center of the room. In addition, at this time, conditioned air, which is cooled or heated by passing through either one of the long side ports 10a, 11a or of short side ports 10b and 11b of the heat exchangers 10 and 11, is blown off through the respective blow-off ports 7a-7d.
