Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent an inner box from bulging at a thin wall part thereof by a method wherein a heat insulated box is comprised of an inner box, an outer box and foam heat insulating material filled between both boxes and adsorptive substances are arranged within the inner box. CONSTITUTION: Blocks 14 of active carbon are arranged at thin wall portions 13 such as corners 12 of an inner box 11 of a heat insulating box 1, the inner box 11 is assembled into an outer box 3 and then foam heat insulating material 6 is filled in a hermetically sealed space 4. Blocks 14 of the active carbon 14 having an adsorptive action are arranged in advance at the inner box 2 of the heat insulating box 1 to prevent the thin wall portion of the inner box 2 from being deformed because fluorocarbon gas 5 is adsorbed by the active carbon 14 even if a cooling operation is stopped, if a temperature within the heat insulating box is increased by a temperature of the surrounding atmosphere, if the fluorocarbon gas 5 in the foam heat insulating material is expanded, and if the fluorocarbon gas 5 enters a clearance 7 between the inner box 2 and the foam heat insulating material 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a thin wall portion of an inner box from bulging out by a method wherein a heat insulating box is comprised of an inner box, an outer box and a foam heat insulating material, and the inner box is provided with a rib having holes with a diameter through which the foam heat insulating material can not enter and further having holes through which a foam producing agent can escape. CONSTITUTION: An inner box 13 made of plastic material formed under a vacuum formation is constructed such that thin wall portions 14 such as corners of it are provided with elongated protrusion ribs 11. The ribs 11 have holes 12 at their extremities. Such an inner box 13 is assembled into an outer box 3 and then a foam heat insulating material 6 is filled in a closed space 4. The thin wall portions 14 at the inner box 2 of the heat insulating box 1 are provided with the elongated protrusion ribs 11 having holes 12 therein through which fluorocarbon gas 5 escapes, thereby even if a cooling operation is stopped, a temperature within the heat insulating box is increased due to temperature of surrounding atmosphere, fluorocarbon gas 10 within the foam heat insulating material is expanded and flows into a clearance 7 between the inner box 2 and the foam heat insulating material 6, deformation of the thin wall portions of the inner box 2 is preventable because the gas is discharged through the holes 12.
