    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive heat exchanger hardly causing the deformation of fins. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 11 is constituted of a plurality of rows of heat transfer tubes 12, through the inside of which refrigerant 15 flows, and a plurality of sheets of rectangular fins 13a, 13b, through which the heat transfer tubes 12 are penetrated and between which air 14 flows, while the thickness of the fins 13a in the rows at the inflow side of the air 14 and the outflow side of the same are specified so as to be thicker than that of the fins 13b in the other row whereby a heat exchanger, reduced in the using amount of materials, can be obtained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger the assembling and manufacturing costs of which are controlled in a forcible fin and tube type heat exchanger. SOLUTION: When a meandering coolant tube 2 is forcibly inserted into plural plate shaped fins 1, the plate shaped fins 1 and side plates 3 are simultaneously lined up in parallel, oblong holes 4 of these plate shaped fins 1 are matched with those of the side plates 3, the meandering coolant tube 2 is inserted into the oblong holes, and a straight tubular part 2a of the meandering coolant tube 2 is flattened. Whereby, the oblong holes 4 of the plate shaped fins 1 and the oblong holes 4 of the side plates 3 are brought into close contact with the straight tubular part of the meandering coolant tube 2 and fixed to it. Thus, the manufacturing cost of the side plate 3 is controlled and then the assembling cost of a heat exchanger is controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of whiskers, and cut a stable-quality sheet-like plate by forming partial slits in a cutting edge surface of a cutting metal die, and cutting the sheet-like plate while using this cutting metal die as an upper edge or the like. CONSTITUTION:In a cutting metal die 11, partial slits 12 are formed in this cutting edge surface. When a sheet-like plate 15 is cut, the cutting metal die 11 is used, for example, as an upper edge 13, and this is meshed with a lower edge 14. That is, the slits 12 are positioned in a cutting overlapping part of the sheet-like plate 15, and after a whisker generating part having a width extremely smaller than a slit width is ruptured as meshing between both upper and lower edges 13 and 14 becomes large, the whisker generating part is cut down when the meshing between both upper and lower edges 13 and 14 becomes maximum. Thereby, generation of whiskers is prevented, and the stable-quality sheet-like plate 15 can be cut.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the end face of burring horizontal and to improve the strength of a brazing part by forming the drilling part elliptically at the tip end of a working punch and providing a shear angle. CONSTITUTION:The drilling part 22 of the punch body 21 is formed elliptically, and the shear angle 24 is provided at the tip end of the drilling part 22. The punch 21 is inserted so that the major axis of the ellipse is coincident with the tubular axis of a tube to be worked. When the punch 21 is protruded, an elliptic prepared hole is punched on the tube to be worked. When the punch 21 is further protruded, burring is performed by the burring part 23 on the tube to be worked and an insertion hole for a connecting tube is formed. Since the prepared hole is elliptic, the length of a rising part of burring is gradually extended in the direction from the major axis of the ellipse to the minor axis, and a horizontal plane is formed for the end face of burring. The strength of the brazing part is improved, the protruding part of the connecting tube is reduced, and the loss in the flow pressure of a fluid is reduced.
