Abstract: A method of manufacturing a fin-tube heat exchanger which includes a multiplicity of plate fins arranged in a plurality of rows disposed at a predetermined pitch in the direction of air flow, and a jointless refrigerant pipe extending through the plate fins in a zigzag manner. Pipe-receiving holes are formed in each plate fin in an offset manner relative to the center of the plate fin. The plate fins are then placed in fin-receiving grooves formed in a straight fin positioning fixture at predetermined spacings such that the same longitudinal ends of the plate fins of alternating rows appear on the same side of the fin positioning fixture and such that the pipe-receiving holes are linearly aligned. The refrigerant pipe is inserted into the pipereceiving holes and is expanded to make tight and close contact with the plate fins. The refrigerant pipe is bent in a zigzag manner so that the straight portions of the pipe occupy corners of rectangles and so that a predetermined spacing is provided between the opposite ends of the plate fins of adjacent rows. Finally, a twist is imparted to the refrigerant pipe to line up the plate fins and arrange the pipe such that the straight portions of the pipe are positioned in a staggered manner, as viewed in the direction of the rows.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing heat exchanger by which a heat exchanger can be cut without deforming fins by suppressing the tolerance of the cut face to a low value by eliminating the disadvantage of the conventional method that the fins are deformed and the finished tolerance of the product becomes larger at the time of cutting the fins. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing heat exchanger, a heat exchanger constituted of a heat transfer tube and plate-like fins can be cut with a small tolerance by hardly deforming the fins by cutting the exchanger in such a way that the cutting length is increased in steps and the cutting edge is set at a fixed angle from the fins.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an expensive fin processing die by a method wherein after connecting a heat transfer fin and a refrigerant tube, an incision is formed on one side in the longitudinal direction on the heat transfer fin, which becomes the external side of a bend, by a plurality of stepwise-formed thin blades, and the incisions are bent in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: After fitting a plurality of refrigerant tubes 7 in a plurality of heat transfer fins 8, on one edge in the longitudinal direction of the heat transfer fin 8, which becomes the external side of a bend, an incision 10 is formed in the laminated direction of the heat transfer fin 8 by gradually pressing a plurality of stepwise-formed thin blades 9 to the heat transfer fin 8, and the incisions are bent in the longitudinal direction by a bending machine by placing the incision on the external side of the bend to manufacture a heat- exchanger. For the heat-exchanger 6, the incisions 10 only are bent, and the heat transfer fin 8 is not cut on the internal side of the bend, and for this reason, the bending is easy to perform, and only the thin blades 9 to form the incisions 10 on the heat transfer fin 8, and a guide jig have to be manufactured, and an expensive fin processing die is unnecessary, and an inexpensive heat- exchanger can be manufactured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of whiskers, and cut a stable-quality sheet-like plate by forming partial slits in a cutting edge surface of a cutting metal die, and cutting the sheet-like plate while using this cutting metal die as an upper edge or the like. CONSTITUTION:In a cutting metal die 11, partial slits 12 are formed in this cutting edge surface. When a sheet-like plate 15 is cut, the cutting metal die 11 is used, for example, as an upper edge 13, and this is meshed with a lower edge 14. That is, the slits 12 are positioned in a cutting overlapping part of the sheet-like plate 15, and after a whisker generating part having a width extremely smaller than a slit width is ruptured as meshing between both upper and lower edges 13 and 14 becomes large, the whisker generating part is cut down when the meshing between both upper and lower edges 13 and 14 becomes maximum. Thereby, generation of whiskers is prevented, and the stable-quality sheet-like plate 15 can be cut.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cutting surface and an erected piece of a plate of a plate-like fin from being deformed by providing a pressing member brought into contact with the upper surface of the plate-like fin before an upper blade reaches the upper surface of the plate-like fin to clamp the plate-like fin from both surfaces with a lower blade. SOLUTION: With lowering of an upper slitter block 18, a pressing member 19 is also lowered to come into contact with the plate-like fin 11 and simultaneously press the plate-like fin 11 by elastic force of a spring 20. With the plate- like fin 11 pressed by the pressing member 19, an upper blade 16 is brought into contact with the plate-like fin 11 to cut the plate-like fin 11 with a lower blade 15 by shearing force thereof. Thus, the plate-like fin 11 is pressed by the pressing member and cut, so that the cutting surface 14 of the plate-like fin 11 is kept from being deformed. Furthermore, an erected piece 13 of the plate will not be also deformed so that an opening part of the erected piece 13 of the plate is not blocked.
