    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reconcile the prevention of the fuel adhesion to a cylinder wall surface accompanying the enhancement of a swirl and the prevention of the swirl damping accompanying the supply of assist air in a engine which generates an intake air swirl in a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:An air assist type fuel injection valve is provided downstream from a control valve on non-swirl port side. By closing the valve to introduce intake air only from a swirl generating port, a swirl area (A area) for generating an intake air swirl in a combustion chamber is judged (S2), and the supply of assist air is stopped in the swirl area (S3). Thus, the adhesion of fuel to a cylinder wall surface along the swirl can be prevented, and the damping of the swirl caused by the inflow of assist air from a non-swirl port can be prevented.

At this time, the assisting air is cut by the closing operation of a solenoid valve 11 interposed in an assisting air passage 10, and the center of jetted mist of the fuel is arranged so as not to interfere with an intake valve 6 at an opening position, and the cooling effect is improve.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To distinguish the type of a using fuel by detecting the width of variation of engine speed at the time of idling. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the idling operation of an engine 1, a controller 9 calculates an actual width of variation based on an engine speed signal which is fed back from a distributor 18. The actual width of variation is collated with the map of a reference width of variation to judge whether the fuel in present use is high-octane gasoline or regular gasoline. Thereby, when, e.g., high-octane gasoline is in use, an ignition signal and a fuel injection quantity are regulated to be proper values set in a high-octane gasoline map to control ignition timing and air-fuel ratio. Thus, since the types of using fuel can be distinguished in an ordinary using zone of idling operation, etc. in which no knocking occurs, even when the fuel fed to the engine 1 is changed, the control of ignition timing and air-fuel ratio can be favorably carried out at all times.

SOLUTION: Between a shaft side member 5 and a supporting member 6 for swingably supporting a steering shaft 1 in vertical direction via the shaft side member 5 in relation to a vehicle body side member 2, both being provided on the steering shaft 1, a regulation part 11 for regulating the erecting action of the steering shaft 1 by making its operation when the steering shaft 1 is subjected to such action of its one end side to act as if being erected upward by receiving an external force acting on its other end side is provided. By employing such constitution stated above, when the steering shaft 1 has its one end side erected upward by receiving an external force acting on its other end side, its action of erection is surely regulated by means of the regulation part 11.

CONSTITUTION:In an engine CE, a direct entrance rate and a take-away rate of fuel are set by a control unit C, and a fuel injection amount is decided in accordance with them. At the time when an EGR valve 17 is opened and an EGR is introduced into an air intake system, the direct entrance rate and the take-away rate are corrected in the increasing direction, influence of air intake port wall temperature rise by EGR introduction is compensated, the fuel injection amount is properly set regardless of existence of the EGR introduction, and occurrence of slippage of an air fuel ratio is prevented.

CONSTITUTION:A control unit 28 judges in respect to a condition 31 which indicates that an engine speed is a predetermined switching speed or higher, a condition 32 which indicates that running speed is high, a condition 33 which indicates that an engine load is lower than a specified value, a condition 34 which indicates that an opening change of a throttle valve 14 is a specified value or lower and substantially constant value, and a condition 35 which indicates that an engine temperature is a specified value or lower. According to the judgement result, a three way changeover solenoid valve 23 is controlled to operate an opening/closing valve 19, and thereby a resonance system is changed over.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To precisely detect and judge the fuel property while ensuring the combustion improving effect and ensure a satisfactory running property by detecting and judging the fuel property on the basis of the combustion state of an engine, and limiting the combustive property improving operation until the fuel property is detected after starting the engine. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve 8 is provided in a collective intake passage 4b on the upper stream side of an intake passage 4, and a shutter valve 9 is disposed in the independent intake passage 4a of each cylinder 2 on the lower stream side from it. The shutter valve 9 throttles the flow of the suction air, when closed, to generate a turbulent flow around a fuel injection valve 14, whereby the evaporation and atomization of the injected fuel is promoted to improve the combustive property. The opening and closing control of the shutter valve 9 (operation control of a solenoid valve 10) is conducted according to the operating state by a controller 15. In this case, in the controller 15, the fuel property (volatility) is detected and judged from the fluctuation of engine rotating speed at the time of starting the engine. At the time of the detecting and judging operation of the fuel property, the closing operation of the shutter valve 9 is limited.

CONSTITUTION:The state quantity having the preset relationship with the volume displacement of an engine A is detected by a detecting means D while the assembled engine A is operated under the same conditions, the volume displacement is judged by a judging means E based on the difference of the state quantity. A parameter selecting means F selects one of multiple control parameters stored in advance in a memory means C in response to the judgment result and sets it into a control means (control unit) B. The control means B controls the engine A in accordance with the control parameters. The control unit with the same specification can be used for multiple engines with the different volume displacement, the erroneous assembling of the control unit in an assembly line can be completely prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at the stabilization of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) driving, by opening or closing an interconnecting part, being connected to a lot of branch intake passages with one other, according to the height of engine speed, while opening it even in the case where the engine speed is low at the EGR driving in an engine. CONSTITUTION:A lot of branch intake passages 4 being connected to each cylinder 1 of an engine are interconnected with one another by an interconnecting part, while in this interconnecting part 7, there are provided with a lot of selector valves 8 interlocking with one another. On the other hand, in an EGR passage 12 branched off fron an exhaust passage 11, there is provided with an EGR valve 13. In this case, these valves 8, 13 are controlled respectively by a control unit 17 on the basis of engine speed and load detected by each of sensors 15, 16. Then, each selector valve 8 is opened or closed accord ing to frequency of the engine speed. In addition, at the time of engine's EGR driving, these selector valves 8 are opened even in the case where the engine speed is low.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of a torque shock during return of fuel, by a method wherein, in a device which performs fuel cut during given deceleration running, after a torque positive torque producing means is actuated right before return of fuel, a negative torque producing means is actuated to execute return of fuel. CONSTITUTION:A torque control device 1 is formed with a rotary field pole 5, situated to the outer peripheral part of a fly wheel 4 formed integrally with a crank shaft 3, a field coil 6, disposed on its inner periphery, and a stator coil 7. A 3-phase alternating current is fed to the stator coil 7 through an inverter 23, and by exciting the rotary field pole 5 through energization of the fuel coil 6, the torque control device is actuated as an AC motor, and actuated as an alternator in a state to stop the feed of a 3-phase alternating current. In this device, when return of fuel is performed from fuel cut running, after the torque control device 1 is actuated as an AC motor once, it is actuated as an alternator, and control is made so as to return the feed of fuel.
