    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of a torque shock during return of fuel, by a method wherein, in a device which performs fuel cut during given deceleration running, after a torque positive torque producing means is actuated right before return of fuel, a negative torque producing means is actuated to execute return of fuel. CONSTITUTION:A torque control device 1 is formed with a rotary field pole 5, situated to the outer peripheral part of a fly wheel 4 formed integrally with a crank shaft 3, a field coil 6, disposed on its inner periphery, and a stator coil 7. A 3-phase alternating current is fed to the stator coil 7 through an inverter 23, and by exciting the rotary field pole 5 through energization of the fuel coil 6, the torque control device is actuated as an AC motor, and actuated as an alternator in a state to stop the feed of a 3-phase alternating current. In this device, when return of fuel is performed from fuel cut running, after the torque control device 1 is actuated as an AC motor once, it is actuated as an alternator, and control is made so as to return the feed of fuel.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of defective starting owing to leakage of fuel occasioned by reduction of a fuel pressure exerted on the seat part of a fuel injection valve due to bleeding of a pressure this side of a fuel injection valve during the stop of an engine in a gas fuel engine. CONSTITUTION:A first shut-off valve 20A is arranged in a place situated upper stream from a fuel feed passage 19 through which a gas fuel storage part 18 and a fuel injection valve 12 are intercommunicated and a second shut-off valve 20B is arranged in a spot situated downstream therefrom. A pressure regulator 22 is arranged between the two shut-off valves 20A and 20B. The first shut-off vale 20A is immediately opened when an ignition switch is turned ON and the second shut-off valve 20B is opened after lapse of a given period starting from turning-ON of the ignition switch. Or, a fuel pressure is directly detected by a pressure sensor 24 located between the shut-off valves. When the detecting value exceeds a given value, the second shut-off valve 20B is opened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain the combustion stability and improve fuel consumption perfor mance by fixing the intake charge quantity at the corresponding optimum advance angle value when the detection value of the intake charge quantity is less than a prescribed value and by prohibiting the ignition timing correcting operation when said detection value is over the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:In the idle operation, the ignition timing is corrected according to the engine revolution speed by an ignition timing correcting means, and the revolution speed is converged to an aimed idle revolution speed. In this case, when the detection value of the intake charge quantity is less than a prescribed value, and the variation of revolution tends to be generated, the combustion stability is maintained by setting the intake charge quantity at the optimum ignition advance angle in the case when the intake charge quantity is a prescribed value such as in case of the turning-ON of an outside load, namely by setting the intake charge quantity on the delayed angle side. While, in the combustion stable state where the intake charge quantity is over a prescribed value such as in case of turning-ON of the outside load and the variation of the revolution is less, the control for the ignition timing is prohibited, and the delay angle control is suspended. Thus, the combustion stability can be maintained, and the fuel consumption performance can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion and breakage of teeth of a timing belt by limiting an increase in output of an engine when the rotation phase difference between a driving gear and a driven gear is a designated value or more to limit the gear skip of the timing belt. CONSTITUTION:A phase difference between a driving gear 33 and a driven gear 39 is detected by a rotation phase difference detecting portion 51a of a control unit. Both gears 33, 39 are connected to each other by a belt 41, and a fixed relationship is kept in the rotation phase difference between the gears, so that when a rotation phase difference exceeding the rotation phase difference is detected, it is judged to be ominous of causing gear skip in the timing belt 41, and a high-level signal S is supplied from the rotation phase difference detecting portion 51a to an engine output limiting portion 51b. On receiving the high level signal S, the engine output limiting portion 51b limits an increase in output of an engine to prevent the occurrence of the gear skip in the timing belt 41.

CONSTITUTION:An ABV 20 is closed and a mechanical supercharger 10 is driven for supercharging an engine 2, in case that a selective vehicle speed V0 input from a target vehicle speed selection switch is equal to a supercharging requirement judgment vehicle speed Vs or higher, from the time of switching ON of an automatic cruising switch to the time of switching it OFF, irrespective of a detected operation condition of the engine 2. On the other hand, in case that the selective vehicle speed V0 is lower than the requirement judgment vehicle speed Vs, the ABV is opened and the mechanical supercharger 10 is stopped driving for stopping supercharging, and thereby operation of an intake charging rate variable means is forcibly fixed.

CONSTITUTION:One surge tank 10 and the other surge tank 11 are connected through the first short communication passage 20 and the second long communication passage 21, and when the first communication passage 20 is opened (S valve 22 is opened), the dynamic effect of intake due to resonance is obtained, and when the second communication passage 21 is opened (A valve 23 is opened), the dynamic effect of the intake due to inertia is obtained. When a part of an output varying means 22 or 23 is broken, the pattern which is most desirable and available under a trouble state is set on the basis of the preference order, and the control for the rest normal output varying means is carried out, and the extreme reduction of the output can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To unify torque occurring in each cylinder and enable the stabilization of engine revolutions by advancing fuel injection timing for cylinders of low suction filling efficiency as compared with fuel injection timing for cylinders of high suction filling efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The firing order (suction order) of cylinders 1a-1d is arranged as 1-3-4-2, and the suction filling efficiency of Nos. 2 and 3 cylinders 1b and 1c wherein the direction of suction air running in branch passages 2a-2d with said suction stroke gives a substantial fluctuation, becomes lower than that of other cylinders Nos. 1 and 4 1a and 1d. At a low load wherein the opening of a throttle valve 5 as detected by a throttle opening sensor 9 is less than a predetermined value, a control means 8 operates to make correction for advancing the injection timing of fuel injection valves 6b and 6c for Nos. 2 and 3 cylinders 1b and 1c of low suction filling efficiency, from that of fuel injection valves 6a and 6d for other cylinders Nos. 1 and 4 1a and 1d.
