A disposable container, such as a deformable bag, for a fluid, having one or more inlets and one or more outlets and an impeller assembly within the container to cause mixing, dispersing, homogenizing and/or circulation of one or more ingredients contained or added to the container. The region within the container that can contain liquid is funnel shaped, which allows very low fluid level mixing, dispensing while mixing, and a reduction or elimination of vortex formation.
Abstract:
The present invention is a device for fluid movement and method of making the same. The device has a core element comprised of a preformed barbed fitting having two or more barbed extensions. Each extension has a central bore connected to the central bores of the other extensions so as to provide fluid communications between them. A tube having a central bore is fitted over the barb of each extension. A molded housing is formed over the fitting and tubes to form the device.

SOLUTION: The filtration apparatus is provided that includes: a top plate; a bottom plate disposed with a space from the top plate; a filtration member disposed between the top plate and bottom plate; at least one disposable liner disposed between the top plate and filtration member and having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, at least one flow path in the liner and at least one sensor port communicated with the flow path by the fluid; a diaphragm sealed in at least one sensor support; and a sensor detachably connected to the sensor support for sensing the pressure in at least one flow path via the diaphragm with no contact with the fluid in the flow path. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable built-in tangential flow filtration liner for compressing specific TFF components separately from compression of the entire apparatus, which is created by a holder, so as to avoid the leak of fluids from the apparatus. SOLUTION: A combination of a first liner 16, one or more filtration elements 20, and a second liner 22 is compressed separately from compression of the entire assembly. For this purpose, the second liner 22 can comprise an appropriate receiving member 75 for receiving a clamp mechanism 70. The filtration element 20 is held between the first and the second liners. A rod with a screw groove, a screw, a bolt and/or a pin 70 or other members extending from the first liner 16 is screwed into each receiving member 75 of the second liner 22, so that each component is pressed below members relating to sealing. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining a temperature of a fluid flowing in a pipe which is equipped with connector of single-time use, similar to a device in a conventional technique. SOLUTION: In the device for determining the physical values of the liquid flowing through the pipe, without contacting the liquid, the device includes a sensor (3) for the physical value; a connector (2) to insert into the pipe including a flexible film (6) for pressure sensor forming a wall of an inner passage (13), extending between two apertures (11, 12) and the inner passage (13); and means (27, 62) for fastening the sensor (3) onto the connector (2). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of a system in which a connection part is subjected to steam sterilization, the connector being disposable after used.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a sterile transfer device. The device is comprised of a body having a bore formed through at least a portion of its interior. It is preferable that the bore is a center hole formed in the whole length of the body. A plunger is contained inside of the hole. The body has a first and a second end. The first end contains a surface designed to be attached to an upstream component. The second end is connected to a downstream component such as a filter, a pipeline, a sample bag and the like. The plunger has corresponding first and second ends. The first end of the plunger when it is in a closed position is in alignment with the surface of the body, which collectively forms a steamable surface and a sterile barrier against the environment to the rest of the interior of the body, the plunger and downstream components.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly for a pump, a pump and a pumping system which includes a disposable flexible bladder and disposable conduits with the pump through which the fluid to pumped is passed in a manner such that the pump components are never exposed to the fluid. SOLUTION: The pump has the disposable bladder, the disposable conduit and a check valve for controlling a fluid flow passing through the bladder and the conduit when the bladder is alternately compressed and expanded. The use of the disposable conduit and bladder eliminates the need for hygienically regenerating the pump between uses.
