The present invention relates to a system and method for distributing and transmitting content over a number of wireless nodes (220) in a wireless mesh network. The system distributes the content based on profiles of the wireless nodes (220) which include mobility of the wireless nodes (220), link cost calculation between the wireless nodes (220), capacity of the wireless nodes (220), and frequency of keywords or content searched. The system comprises of at least one content server (100) connected to a wireless mesh network, wherein the wireless mesh network includes a gateway (210), a plurality of wireless nodes (220), and at least one user device (230). Abstract:
A method of establishing communication through virtual links in a mesh network (100) is disclosed. The method includes providing a virtual interface at a first node (106) in the mesh network (100), wherein the first node (106) defining a plurality of access points. Further, the method includes bridging a plurality of virtual links to the virtual interface, wherein the plurality of virtual links enabling the communication between one or more user devices and the plurality of access points. Further the method includes grouping dynamically the plurality of virtual links at the first node (106) into a single virtual link and using the single virtual link to forward the communication to a second node (104) in the mesh network (100). Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method of spectrum aware routing for data packet delivery from a source to a destination in a wireless mesh network. Preferably, the method computing node costs (34) for each mesh node presented in the network based on various factors affecting radio, channel and network condition. Node with lower node cost is considered better options in delivering the packet in the present invention. Further, the disclosed method accumulates and/or averages the sum of all nodes (30) in each possible route or path capable of transmitting the packet data to derive a link cost for each path and the packet data is delivered through path with the lowest link cost.
