Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) and method for locating a mobile device (200). The system (100) comprises a motion state interference module (10) configured for deducing motion states of the mobile device (200) and generating a motion state update message, a positioning means trigger module, PM trigger module (20) configured for processing the motion state update message and generating a positioning means trigger instruction, and a positioning array module (30) configured for storing a plurality of positioning means and triggering the plurality of positioning means to perform position estimation based on the positioning means trigger instruction. The system (100) further comprises a weight distribution module (40) configured for assigning weight to an estimated position value of each positioning means triggered by the positioning array module (30) and computing final location of the mobile device (200).
