Abstract: The invention utilizes an image (24) obtained by a fish eye lens camera (20) to cover a large plan view of an area. The camera (20) is usually mounted below a horizontal plane to capture an image of 360 degrees (24) below the horizontal plane. A unit of fish eye lens camera (20) provides a larger coverage of an area which can only be achieved with several upright cameras. The image (24) acquired by fish eye lens camera (20) is analyzed to obtain pan, tilt and zoom controls. Control points (32) were previously analyzed to calibrate pan, tilt and zoom value of moving objects (30). The location of moving object (34) is compared with control points (32) to obtain a pan, tilt and zoom value (38) to be used by PTZ camera (22).

Abstract: A system (10) and method to locate and verify the authorization of object's identity in a controlled area (14) by utilizing standalone RFID detectors located at every specific coordinates of the controlled area (14) which correspond to a control server (13) that generate system alert if unauthorized visitor enters forbidden area in the controlled area (14). The control server (13) of the system (10) determines the coordinates of the actual position of which the detected object (15) is located and computes the distance between the detected object (15) and RFID reader (12) for the object positioning.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for monitoring and detecting vehicles at risk of a car accident in a high-risk accident area. The method comprises fusing a motion sensing device on the surface of a road in one moving direction at the high risk-area, wherein the motion sensing device comprising four detection bars (203) operable to detect a passing vehicle based light intensity change detected through the detection bars (203); acquiring (101) timing information of the passing vehicle passing through each of the four detection bar of the motion-sensing device to interpret velocities and accelerations of the passing vehicle; determining (102) a potential road-accident hazard based on the interpreted velocities and accelerations of the moving vehicle; providing (103) a warning signal for an opposing moving direction when the potential road-accident hazard is determined; and storing (104) the timing information acquired and interpreted in a database of a microcontroller (105) of the motion sensing device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system (100) for providing interface for real time surveillance having a plurality of data resources and at least one Resource Description Framework (RDF) comprising at least one rule-based engine, at least one surveillance system (102) and at least one response dictionary (106). Another embodiment of the present invention provides a method (1200) for providing interface for real-time surveillance. The method comprising steps of creating surveillance ontology (902, 1202), creating semantic rules for decision making (904, 1204), providing link to form relationship between resources and to differentiate resources (906, 1206), assigning machine readable instructions for detection rules (1208) and accessing resource configuration file and rule files in surveillance system. The method for assigning machine readable instructions for detection rules further comprises creating equivalent triples for surveillance ontology (908, 1210), extracting triples information and arranging triples information into RDF (resource, predicate and data format) triples (910,1212}, processing RDF triples into variable title and data (912, 1214) and providing configuration file in readable format to be used by surveillance system (914, 1216). Further, the method for assigning machine readable instructions for detection rules further comprises creating equivalent triples for surveillance ontology (1218}, extracting all permutation and assigning code to each event to produce semantic rule file (1220) and creating and storing response to response dictionary to be used by surveillance system (1222). The method for accessing resource configuration file and rule files in surveillance system further comprises opening resource configuration file or semantic rule file or response semantic rule file (1302, 1304, 1306), reading data from known data variables (1308), reading rules and applying condition in detection module (1310), initializing variable and configuration (1312) and displaying image based on acquired image (1314).
