    Abstract: Color balance of a color television picture can be automatically controlled by controlling signals generated in an apparatus, which comprises a computing circuit which calculates each mean value of the light intensities in at least two regions of the television picture, each intensity being detected with each photoelectric transducer for each primary color light in each region, and a circuit which generates controlling signals by comparing each mean value of theoretical primary color light to each of the theoretically predetermined standard values. By employing the above-mentioned apparatus and method thereof, the color balance of a color television system can well be controlled without any standard white light source or any standard color signal source.

A colour analyzer comprises a plurality of detecting means sensitive generally to corresponding primary colours, but overlapping into adjacent primary colours and an electric matrix circuit solving the simultaneous linear equations necessary to determine the quantities of each primary colour from the detector signals. The primary colours may be C. I. E. chromaticity coefficients. In one embodiment, three photovoltaic or photo-conductive cells (silicon or CdS) are used each with a red, green or blue filter and in another embodiment a single detector is located behind a rotatable red, green and blue filter. Interchangeable patchboard resistor matrices may be provided to work with sources having different primary colours e. g. television tubes with different colour phosphors. Alternatively all matrices may be incorporated in the analyzer and selected by switches or a single matrix may be recalibrated against each new type of source when giving a known output. Recalibration may be facilitated by including in the analyzer memories which store the standard detector signals for a number of types of source. The analyzer may be used to set up standard white on a television broadcast monitor. Detector circuit. In a preferred circuit, Fig. 14, R10 and R11 are chosen to make the base current of T1 negligibly small compared with the current through R11. This results in the voltage across the photo-resistor P being independent of its internal resistance Rp. A capacitor may be connected across Ro to reduce high frequency signals due to the scanning of phosphor dots on a television tube screen.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce invasion to an organism at the time of installing a probe by providing a belt-like softening material wound round an organism, a joining portion for joining the softening material like a ring and a holding portion for holding a light emission portion and a photo detector portion in such a manner as to confront with each other through an organism. CONSTITUTION:A probe fitting device of a pulse oxymeter, which is formed by a light emission portion 1 for applying light into an organism S and a photo detector portion for receiving light passed through the organism S, comprises a belt-like softening member 3 wound round the organism S, a joining portion 4 for joining the softening member 3 like a ring, with the softening member 3 wound round the organism, and holding portions 5a, 5c for holding the light emission portion 1 and the photo detector portion 2 on the softening member 3 in such a manner as to confront with each other through the organism S. By this arrangement, it is possible to reduce the chapping of the skin and the organism S, a sense of oppression and feeling of a pain at the time of installing the probe.
