    Abstract: A photoelectric colorimeter which comprises a photoelectric conversion section including an optical filter to analyze light coming from a test piece and a reference calibrating sample into primary color elements, and a photosensor to convert each of said primary color elements into an electric signal; and a data processing section including a calibration constant calculating device for calculating a calibration constant for each of a plurality of reference calibrating samples on the basis of a calibration point of each of the reference calibrating samples and an information inputted from said photoelectric conversion section, a chromaticity point calculation device for calculating a chromaticity point of the test piece and that of each reference calibrating sample, a memory device for memorizing the calibration constant and calibration point of each of the reference calibrating samples, a device for estimating a new calibration constant suitable for the chromaticity point of the test piece between the respective calibration constants of the reference calibrating samples through the interpolation using a positional relation between the chromaticity point of the calibration point and that of the test piece as a parameter, and a correction device for correcting measured value of the test piece by the new calibration constant.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To use a solid optical element for correction of standard chromaticity and precisely perform the correction of the standard chromaticity at the time when the chromaticity of water in a water quality inspection item is measured. CONSTITUTION:An optical element 5 composed of a material having a spectral diffraction transmission characteristic approximated to a rate of spectral diffraction transmission of liquid to be measured such as glass and synthetic resin is provided so as to be freely retreatably inserted between a light casting part 2 and a light receiving part 3. At the time of correction, the optical element 5 is inserted between the light casting part 2 and the light receiving part 3, correction data are obtained, at the time of measurement, it is shifted to a retreating position, a space therebetween is filled with the liquid to be measured and chromaticity of the liquid to be measured is determined. A measurement result is corrected with previously obtained correction data and output as measurement values.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate nonuniformity in spectral sensitivity between photosensors by adjusting an angle of incidence of a light beam entering an interference filter. CONSTITUTION:An optical filter F1 (band-pass filter) is combined with a photoelectric conversion element SPD and they are selected so that an aimed sensitivity characteristic be presented practically. An interference filter F2 (long- wavelength cut filter) is provided for correcting the sensitivity characteristic on the long wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics of a photosensor and fitted in inclination to the optical axis. By adjusting an angle theta1 of inclination thereof, a cut wavelength is varied and thereby correction on the long-wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics is conducted. As for an interference filter (short-wavelength cut filter) F3, an angle theta2 of inclination in fitting thereof is adjusted in the same way as F2 and thereby the short wavelength side of the overall spectral characteristics is corrected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure a color with high accuracy by providing a second lighting means for collecting an emitted light from an optical opening of a light diffusion chamber, collecting a reflected light of an object to be measured by the first lighting means and executing a correction by lighting of a second means. CONSTITUTION:A light beam of a light source 1 is diffused by a diffusion chamber 32, and projected to an object to be measured 40 in a state that it is scarcely varied from an optical opening 39. Accordingly, when a reflected light is collected by a monitor 7, a color measurement by lighting can be performed without causing a variance. Also, a light source side monitor 5 collects actually a light beam which has passed through the optical opening 39 of an optical system 2, and a color measured value by lighting the monitor 7 is corrected by a correcting means. By such correction, a state of the light beam projected actually to the object to be measured 40 goes to correct. Accordingly, whenever the light source emits a light beam, a difference of the light quantity or the spectral distribution is offset enough and the color measurement can be executed with high accuracy. The correcting means executes a necessary correction by processing the monitor information by a CPU.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the amount of monitoring light and to make it possible to miniaturize an integrating sphere, by directly providing a monitoring-light inputting surface at a part neighboring an opening for a sample at the surface of the integrating sphere. CONSTITUTION:Light, which is emitted from a light source 8, is reflected with a reflecting shade 4 and inputted into an integrating sphere 1. The light, which is inputted into the integrating sphere 1, is diffused and reflected in the integrating sphere 1. The light becomes nondirectional illuminating light. The light is projected on a sample 3 at all angles. A reference opening C is provided at a part neighboring the sample 3. The light, which is projected on the sample 3, is inputted into the opening C. A diffusing plate 7 is arranged in the reference opening C at a position where the direct light from the sample 3 is not inputted. Absorbing treatment is applied on the side surface of the reference opening to the diffusing plate 7. The light, which is transmitted through the diffusing plate 7, passes through an optical fiber 6. The light is measured with a spectral sensor for monitoring the light source.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at simplification in a jamming countermeasure of the whole device by operating the switch of a device body with a grip which is detatachable from the device body and vice versa and has not any electrical parts. CONSTITUTION:In case of electrical equipment, necessitating various modes for gripping position of a body such as, for example, a spectroscopic type colorimeter or the like, there is provided with a grip C detachable from a body part A and vice versa, and operation of a switch SW2 of this device is carried out via this grip C. This switch SW2 is housed in an electromagnetic shield box A1 together with other electric parts and it is subjected to the required jamming countermeasure. Operation of the switch SW2 is performed by slide motion of an operating rod C6 through the push-in operation of a control button 21 of the grip C. Since there is no cause of wave generation in this grip C, it is unnecessary to do any troublesome wave shielding.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a diameter of an irradiation spot light smaller than that of a conventional linear array of one line, by dividing a light receiving element array into plural lines. CONSTITUTION:On a silicon substrate 1, (n) pieces of silicon photodiodes (SPD) 2, 3 are provided in parallel in two lines. As for these arrays 2, 3, their sensitive areas are different from each other, and one array 2 senses a short wavelength, and the other array 3 senses a long wavelength component. Lengths L2, L3 of each array 2, 3 are set equally. Each array 2, 3 is provided in parallel in a circular arc whose diameter phi is shorter than the total length of the respective length L2, L3. On the upper part of each light receiving element of them, filters 5A2, 5A3 whose transmission wavelengths are different, respectively are provided in an opposed or contact state. According to such a constitution, the length of the light receiving element array can be shortened. Also, the diameter of an irradiation spot light to the light receiving element can be made small.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To narrow the half-amplitude level in a short wavelength region by increasing the thicknesses of respective metallic films of a metal interference filter stepwise or continuously nearer the thin part of dielectric layers from the thick part. CONSTITUTION:The respective metallic films 1 are formed to the thicknesses larger stepwise or continuously nearer the thin part from the thick part of the dielectric layers 2. The surface of the dielectric layer 2 in the part A on the left side of a boundary M is projected upward, by a difference (x) of the thickness of the metallic films, from the surface in the part B on the right side of the boundary M and the surface in the part A of the metallic films on the top surface is projected upward by 2x from the surface of the part B. The half-amplitude level in the part where the metallic films 1 are formed thick is thereby narrowed and the sharper characteristics are obtd. A spectrometric sensor formed by using such metal interference filter is improved in S/N ratio and accuracy.
