Abstract: The refillable polyester bottle of the invention has a mean crystallinity of 32 to 70 % at the bottle body, a methanol adsorption of 1,500 ppm or less at the same portion and a paraxylene adsorption of 300 ppm or less at the same portion. Therefore, the bottle is excellent in non-adsorptivity and heat resistance. According to the method of removing adsorbates on a polyester bottle of the invention, the adsorbates can be rapidly desorbed by holding the bottle in air of 40 to 150 DEG C or bringing the bottle into contact with water or water vapor heated at 40 to 150 DEG C.

Abstract: A composite film structure composed of a layer (A) of high density polyethylene having an intrinsic viscosity ¢n! as measured in decalin at 135.degree.C of 1.3 - 2.9 dl/g, a melt index (MIA) of 0.3 - 7.0 g/10 min. and a density of 0.950 - 0.970 g/cm3, in which up to 2 mole % of an alpha-olefin may be contained; and layers (B) of an ethylene/C5 -C10 alpha-olefin random copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity ¢n! as measured in decalin at 135.degree.C of 1.0 - 2.4 dl/g, a melt index (MIB) of 0.5 - 20 g/10 min., a density of 0.910 - 0.940 g/cm3, and a melting point of 115 - 130.degree.C, with the proviso that the MIA/MIB ratio is 0.15 - 4.0, said layers (B) being in direct contact with the two sides of said layer (A) and laminated thereto.

Abstract: A bottle molded from a polyester composition comprising 97 to 99.99% by weight of a polyester and 3 o 0.01% by weight of a polyester elastomer, which bottle exhibits dimensional change ratios of not greater than 5% measured in the height direction of the bottle and also not greater than 5% measured in the wall part diameter direction of the bottle and has an overturning angle of at least 10.degree., when the bottle was subjected to a hot bath test in which the bottle is filled with a beverage containing 2.5 gas volume carbon dioxide at 23.degree.C, stoppered and immersed in sealed condition in a hot bath heated at 70.degree.C. Thus, the bottle retains self-standing property without deformation even after it is filled with a carbonated beverage and subjected to heat sterilization.
