    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material for a liquid filter having high filtering capacity and good in replacing operability. SOLUTION: A filter material has a main filter layer composed of thermoplastic synthetic fibers with an average fiber diameter of 1-10μm and a wt. basis of 100-300g/m and a support layer composed of a smooth nonwoven fabric with longitudinal tensile strength of 4kg/5cm or more and stiffness of 10kg/cm or more having embossed uneven shape on its surface and the support layer is arranged on the contact side with a filter plate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain separated multifilaments causing no fusion with one another, by subjecting a thermoplastic resin to melt spinning to give multifilaments, extruding them from a nozzle equipped with an orifice, cooling them with cooling water containing a surface active agent at a specific distance from the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin such as polyolefin, etc. is subjected to melt spinning by an extruder with multifilaments extruded from a molten resin inlet equipped with an orifice. 2-30mm. distance is set between a nozzle face for multifilament spinning and liquid level of cooling water, the multifilaments are made to flow in a cooling water bath containing a surface active agent such as sodium alkylsulfonate, etc., they are cooled, drawn, and wound for annealing, to give the desired multifilaments.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electret filter capable of enhancing collection efficiency and of preventing collection performance from being especially lowered even when the electret filter adsorbs tabacco smoke by using resin whose wet contact angle for pure water is regulated to the specified value or above as resin for the electret filter. CONSTITUTION:Resin whose wet contact angle for pure water is regulated to >=95 deg. preferably about 100-110 deg. is used as resin for an electret filter. For example, poly(4-methyl-1-pentene), polytetrafluoroethylene,' fluoroethylene- propylene copolymer, perfluoroalkoxy-fluororesin or the like and the modified substances of these resins due to unsaturated carboxylic acid such as maleic anhydride, unsaturated epoxy compound and organosilicon compound and organofluorine compound, etc., of these resins are shown as such resin. Further even resin whose wet contact angle for pure water is regulated to the angle smaller than 95 deg. can be used as resin for the filter when silicone oil is added at 0.05-5wt.% and the wet contact angle is regulated to >=95 deg..

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method capable of obtaining an electret whose various kinds of performances are good such as whose uniformity and molding property are enhanced in its molding operation, whose surface charge density is high and the like and to provide a method used to obtain an electret filter whose dust-collecting efficiency is good. CONSTITUTION:The manufacturing method of an electret uses the following as raw materials: a denatured resin composition formed by graft-denaturing a resin composition which contains a nonpolar polymer compound and a polar polymer compound; and a raw-material resin composition which contains a denatured polymer compound formed by graft-denaturing a nonpolar polymer compound and which contains a polar polymer compound other than said denatured polymer compound. The manufacturing method and an electret filter uses the electret.
