    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent meandering of a roll and surely connect the starting end portion of a standby roll to the trailing end portion of a supply roll by supporting supply and standby rolls by supporting rollers having a guide plate. CONSTITUTION:A thin film roll 1 is supported by a supply roll supporting roller 12 and brought into contact with a driving roller 11, so that a thin film 2 is supplied to the after-treatment process through a guide roller group 18 by the turning movement of the driving roller 11. On the other hand, a thin film roll 1 which is supplied to the after-treatment process continuously following the currently supplied thin film roll 1 is in standby on a standby roll supporting roller 15 and an auxiliary roller 15A. Supply side guide plates and standby side guide plates 17 are brought into contact with both ends of a supply roll 1A and a standby roll 1B respective to regulate the movement in the cross direction, whereby the occurrence of meadering during the supply operations of the supply roll 1A and the standby roll 1B is prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a device that returns automatically to the upper part between rolls the compound that has fallen from between a pair of rolls by a method wherein around the front roll of mixing rolls composed of a pair of rolls, a conveyor belt reaching the upper part from the lower part through the side part is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor belt 110 and the circulating driving gear 120 thereof are mounted around the front roll 10 of a mixing roll mill consisting of a pair of rolls 10, 20. The conveyor belt 110 is arranged around the front roll 10 so that it provides a resin compound catcher part A that lies gradually inclined under a kneader part 60, a rolling, conveying part B that surrounds a quarter or more of the circumference from the lowermost point of the front roll 10 and a resin compound discharge part C that hangs over the upper part of the front roll 10.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To always coat a web with a coating solution in a definite film thickness by mounting a lip coater, a coating roller and a transfer roll for transferring the film of the coating solution on the coating roll to a web running in the direction opposite to the rotary direction of the coating roll. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution is extruded to a coating roll 2 from the lip of a lip coater 1 while a web 3 is allowed to run between the coating roll 2 and a transfer roll 4 in the direction reverse to the rotary direction of the coating roll 2. Then, the contact surface with the coating roll 2 of the film of the coating solution on the coating roll 2 is transferred to the web 3. Subsequently, the web 3 having the film of the coating solution transferred thereto is continuously transferred to a heat treatment process through a film meter 5. During this time, the non-contact surface of the coating solution on the coating roll 2 is pref. kept to the non-contact state with the surface of a solid. By this constitution, even when the web has irregularity in its thickness, a coating thickness does not become uneven and the definite film thickness of the coating solution is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a compound wound round a roll from dropping from the roll and to eliminate removing work after suspension of a mixing mill, by enabling to move two stock guides independently each other. CONSTITUTION:Two stock guides 50, 50' which are movable independently are held so that they become perpendicular to rolls 20, 30 respectively and move above the rolls. Then as for adjustment of a quantity of kneeding and a kneading period of time of a resin compound, it can be fulfilled by making the stock guides 50, 50' move and adjusting between them. In addition to the above, it becomes possible to send almost completely the compound wound round the foregoing rolls to the next process after completion of the kneading by narrowing a space between the stock guides 50, 50' by making them move gradually according to the fact that the resin compound, whose width is being measured, decreases.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a cutting work of the starting part performed beforehand unnecessary, and to reduce the loss of cutting the starting part, by connecting the membranous bodies by using a membranous body roll whose starting end is cut obliquely to the feeding direction as it is as a membranous body roll in the waiting condition. CONSTITUTION:The connection of the rear end of a feeding roll and the starting end of a waiting roll is carried out from taking care of only the top of the starting end of the waiting roll at first, and the rotation of the waiting roll is perfectly synchronized with the rotataions of the feeding roll and a driving roller then at the first time. Since the adhesive part is only at the top A although the contact is made gradually from the top 4 to the oblique side 6 cut obliquely, no lashing-in or no sagging is generated at the connection and at the membranous body at the rear side from the connection. And by providing a removal preventive adhesive means 7 whose adhesive force is less than that of an adhesive means 5 for connection at the top 4 of the starting end and at the oblique side 6, no removal of the membranous body is generated when the waiting roll is predriven, but it can be removed when the waiting roll is contacted to the rear end of the feeding roll.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To correctly detect the shape of a bank part and the amount of resin thereat by detecting the radiating infrared ray from said resin and each of calender rolls holding the resin. CONSTITUTION:The calender roll consists of four rolls 1a-1d. Bank parts 2a-2c each for storing resin are formed between the rolls 1a and 1b, 1b and 1c, and 1c and 1d, respectively. The shape and amount of the resin in the bank parts 2b/2c among the bank parts 2a-2c are measured. In other words, the infrared ray radiating from the resin in the bank part 2c, and the infrared ray radiating from rolls 1c, 1d at both sides of the bank part 2c are detected by an infrared ray detecting means 8. A CPU 4 starts processing immediately after it receives an input detecting signal from the detecting means 8, with displaying both radiating infrared rays as the temperature distribution by a CRT display 6. Image processing is performed on the basis of the temperature distribution of the resin in the bank part, thereby measuring the shape and amount of the resin in the bank part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To cut a film roll together with the core into a plurality of pieces having a desired width without collapsing the shape of the cut part by inserting a cutter receiving part having a lower hardness than a cutter on the cutting side of the core, to be cut together with the film by the cutter, in such a way as contacting the bore of the core, and thereupon performing the cutting. CONSTITUTION:Inside of the cutting part of a core 2 to be cut together with a film roll 1 by a cutter 4 a cutter receiving part 5 having a lower hardness than the cutter 4 is inserted in such a way as contacting the bore of the core 2, and then cutting is executed. As a result the core 2 and film roll 1 are supported by this cutter receiving part 5 from the bore as the inside of the core 2 even though the cutter 4 pushes the film roll 1 at the time of cutting, so that the shape of the cutting part will not collapse even with a lower revolving speed, and thus the roll 1 can be cut into a plurality of pieces having a desired width.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To firmly adhere together two polyolefin foaming objects, by heating by high frequency induction in such a condition as disperses metallic conductive elements over an adhering surface of one of the two polyolefin foaming objects. CONSTITUTION:Metallic conductive elements, such as metal powder, metal mesh, etc., are temporarily adhered to an adhering surface of one of two polyolefin foaming objects having a high foaming power of an apparent specific gravity of about 0.2- 0.4, an adhering surface of the other being laid on a top of aforesaid adhering surface. These foaming objects are then pressurized at a pressure of about 2-5kg/ cm , the objects being induction-heated by impressing a high frequency of 10- 500kHz. As a result of conductive elements, thus, being heated, the foaming objects are welded together. The foaming objects are then left for a period of from 20-30 seconds for cooling.
