    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector assembly in which a terminal module independent from the whole connector housing is efficiently used. SOLUTION: This electric connector assembly is provided with a pair of modular sub-assemblies, and each has the external housing having a fitting face to form a fitting part to be fitted to a complementary connector in the fitting direction. Furthermore, this external housing also has a side face having a cavity. A terminal module includes dielectric body inner housing arranged in the cavity. A plurality of the terminals are mounted on the inner housing and its contact part is engaged with an appropriate contact of the complementary counterpart connector at the fitting part.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which allows high density mounting and is suitable for high frequency signaling.SOLUTION: A board-mountable connector 20 is provided. The connector 20 includes a shield 24 and an insulative housing 22 with a tongue. Terminals (S, G, and D) are supported by the housing 22 in two rows and the rows extend from a mating interface to a board mounting interface. The terminals (S, G, and D) are mounted to the board with surface mount technology in two rows that are at about 0.4 mm pitch. The two rows of terminals (S, G, and D) are configured in a signal, signal, ground triangular configuration so as to provide a triangular terminal arrangement that extends from the mating interface to the mounting interface.

    Abstract: An electrical connector (10) is provided for mounting in an opening (12) in a panel which has an elongated channel (42) having overhanging lips (50) along opposite sides thereof defining a narrowed mouth (52) running longitudinally of the channel. The opening communicates through the channel. A connector housing (16) is insertable into the opening and into the channel in an insertion direction. The housing is rotatable within the opening. At least o ne locking projection (28) extends outwardly of the housing generally perpendicular to the insertion direction. The locking projection is sized fo r passing through the narrowed mouth defined by the overhanging lips of the channel and for locking engagement behind one of the lips in response to rotation of the housing within the opening. A latch projection (30) is disposed on the outside of the housing and is latchingly engageable in the narrowed mouth of the channel automatically in response to the rotation of t he housing within the opening.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulator body, a number of conductive terminals arranged on this insulator body, and a shielding shell surrounding the insulator body. The insulator body comprises a main body and a mating portion extending forward from the main body, the front end of this mating portion has a mating groove, and the top and bottom sides of the mating groove have a number of terminal containing grooves. Each conductive terminal includes an elastic portion, a contact portion extending from this elastic portion, and an abutting portion located at the end of the contact portion. The terminals can be made so that they become gradually thinner toward the abutting portion.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing with a plurality of filtering modules therein. Each filtering module has a housing and a magnetics assembly including transformer cores with wires wrapped therearound. An array of pins extend from the module housing for connection to the wires. A plurality of tails extend from the module housing for interconnection to a circuit board upon which the connector may be mounted. An interconnection is provided between the pins and tails that may include filtering or other signal modifying circuitry. A circuit member having an enhanced layout is also provided for use in or upon which the connector may be mounted.
