Abstract: An electrical connector (60) includes a dielectric housing (62) having a terminal-receiving passage (64) for insertion thereinto of a terminal (70) in a given insertion direction (B). The terminal includes a spring contact arm (78) at least in part projecting into the passage (64) for engagement by an appropriate mating contact element. The terminal further includes an engagement arm (86) projecting into the passage (64) behind the spring contact arm (78) at a location to provide an engagement shoulder for an insertion tool (102) which forces the terminal (70) into the terminal-receiving passage (64) of the housing (62).
