Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of being firmly secured on a printed circuit board with a high securing strength. SOLUTION: An electric connector 1 is provided with an insulation housing 2, plural terminals 3 attached to the insulation housing 2, and a metal shield 4 provided so as to cover the insulation housing 2 and is constituted. An insert nut 10 is placed at both side end parts 2b of the insulation housing 2, and a boss 11 integrally provided at this insert nut 10 in series is protruded from a bottom face 2a of the insulation housing 2 and can be inserted into the mounting hole of the printed circuit board.

SOLUTION: An electric connector 1 comprises one housing 2 and one shell 3. Fitting parts 5 for connection with a mating connector are formed while being projected in up and down two steps and contact parts 8 of a large number of terminals 7 are arranged, press inserted, and fixed in the fitting parts 5. In the shell 3, a cylindrical part 11 to cover the side walls of the fitting parts 5 are so formed as to correspond to the fitting parts 5 and set in the fitting parts 5.
