    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector device capable of easy fitting and fitting-releasing. SOLUTION: An electrical connector device comprises one side electrical connector and the other side connector 4 fitting mutually. A guide pin is protrusively constituted on the fitting face of one side electrical connector, and a guide hole 38 facing to the guide pin so that the guide pin can be fitted thereto. Further on the other electrical connector 4, a latch piece 39 provided with a hook 40 on its tip, engaging with the guide pin is provided in the guide hole 38, and a release lever 41 for releasing the engagement between the latch piece 39 and the guide pin is provided. By sliding the release lever 4 in the fitting direction between one side and the other side electrical connectors, the engagement between the latch piece 39 and the guide pin can be released.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method of enabling each positioning of terminals to be arranged at a predetermined pitch by forming the terminals, which are to be placed side by side in an insulating housing, into an integral line via combining strips on a carrier in advance. CONSTITUTION: A group of terminals 2 are formed into an integral line via combining strips 5 on a carrier 4 in advance. A tapered portion 8 is formed at each end of the free ends 6 of the group of terminals 2. Thereby, each position of the terminals 3 correspond to that of the tapered portions 8 so that the displacement along the pitch direction of each terminals 3 is forcibly corrected by means of a taper holding measures having a predetermined pitch P. Thus, the terminals 3 are installed side by side in an insulating housing that composes an electric connector at the predetermined pitch P; thereby, the precision of each pitch P between the terminals can be improved and hence the productivity of the connectors can be enhanced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing self-inductance, realizing high density, and reducing the size by further lowering the height of a socket, while taking into consideration contact reliability of contact point parts. SOLUTION: This socket has a plurality of contacts 10 for contacting with a plurality of solder balls S of a semiconductor package 1, a socket body 15 provided with an installing hole 11 of the respective contacts, a through hole 12 penetrating in the height direction of the socket body, and a support hole 13 of the contacts. The respective contacts have an erected piece 101 extending along the through hole, a support piece 102 inserted into the support hole by extending from the base end side 104, and contact point parts 103 formed in a free end part, and contacting the solder balls. The respective contact point parts are arranged in the height projecting from a surface 15a of the socket body. Guide projections 14 are arranged in positions opposed to the contact point parts of the respective contacts. These contact point parts and guide projections are made with intervals to make the solder balls contact both of them.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To miniaturize an electric connector by reducing numbers of parts used, wherein earthing between electric appliances and prevention of electrostatic discharge can be attained by providing a single member in which a metal shell around housing and a tab terminal are formed as one unit. CONSTITUTION: Metal shell 7a, 7b are fixed along side walls of housings 4a, 4b so that they are positioned further ahead of a tip of an electric signal transmitting terminal, and tab terminals 9a, 9b which can be connected to female terminals 11a, 11b are provided as an integrated unit with the shell 7a, 7b. Thereby, when fitting and connecting an electric signal terminal of a plug type electric connector 1 to an electric signal connector of a receptacle type electric connector 16, earthing can be secured by the same metal shell member while static electricity liable to be charged on a person handling the connector is discharged by mutual contact of the metals shells 7a, 7b. Accordingly, electrostatic discharge prevention and earthing means can be done by a single member, therefore, miniaturization and enhancement of productivity can be achieved.
