    Abstract: In a three-color television receiver utilizing red, blue and green demodulators, variable phase shifting networks are connected to supply to the red and blue demodulators reference signals with predetermined phases relative to the synchronizing signal. An I axis demodulator is utilized to sense a component of color along the I axis and shift the phase of the reference signals to increase the angle between the red and blue chrominance components from the red and blue demodulators when a component is present on the I axis.
