Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a highly accurate anti-Stokes beam by cutting off only the mixed part of a reference laser beam and a Stokes beam, and extracting an anti-Stokes beam contained in the cross-sectional pattern of the remaining beams. CONSTITUTION:A fundamental laser beam omega1 passes through a dichroic mirror 10 and enters into a lens 11 by maintaining its circular cross-sectional pattern. On the other hand, as for a beam omega2, half of the cross-sectional pattern is cut off by a knife edge 13 and it becomes semi-circular, and it is reflected by the mirror 10. The upper part of the beam forms a collinear CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy) by the semi-circular beam, and also, the beam omega2 and the lower beam omega1 constitute a minimum cross angle CARS. This collinear CARS is a method which is apt to generate an anti-Stokes beam omega3, therefore, the phase matching adjustment is executed by utilizing the beam omega3 which is generated by this collinear CARS. After an optimum condition has been obtained by this collinear CARS, when the beam omega3 is cut off by a knife edge 14, the beam omega3 which has been generated from a minute intersection on a space which has been generated by the minimum cross angle CARS can be obtained easily.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of a very thin wing with a sweep back angle by a method wherein a propeller is pivoted on a pivot shaft of a spinner while a cowling is pivoted on a pivot shaft of the propeller so that a pitch angle of the propeller is constituted freely adjustable by driving the pivot shaft of the propeller. CONSTITUTION:A groove provided along the center 5 of pitch-variable rotation of a propeller 2 is fitted into a pivot shaft 4 fixed on a spinner 1. On a chip of the propeller 2, another pivot shaft 6 is provided along the center 5 of pitch- variable rotation. On this pivot shaft 6, a groove of a cowling 7 is supported freely rotatable and a rod 8 pivoted on the pivot shaft 6 is stored inside the cowling 7. A supporter 9 is further supported freely slidable at the rear of the cowling 7, and one end of the rod 8 is pivoted on it. A rack 11 and a pinion 13 are provided inside the supporter 9, and the pinion 13 is connected to a motor 12 located in the cowling 7.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of turbulence and noise by disposing a flow control member at the upstream side of an opening in the surface of substance along which air flows, and forming the member, with a space, of a plurality of flow control plates comprising a first piece parallel to air flow and a second piece extending in the inward of the opening. CONSTITUTION:A hollow opening 2 having a specified width, length and depth is formed at a proper part of a plate 5, and a flow control member 6 is disposed along a side top line 3 at the upper steam in the opening 2. The member 6 is formed of a plurality of flow control plates comprising a first piece 7 along the plate 5 and a second piece 8 extending in the inward of the opening 2. The pieces 7, 8 are vertical to each other and this vertically crossing part corresponds to the line 3. Further, each flow control plate is disposed with a space. It is thus possible to control air flow moving along the plate 5 by means of the member 6 and to prevent generation of turbulence of air flow in the opening 2 and generation of noise.
