    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a device which facilitates setting of an object to be measured and has a high precision by fixing the upper end of a rotating cylinder to the lower end of a wire and providing a supporting table of the object to be measured in the upper end of the rotating cylinder and attaching the rotating cylinder to an outside frame so that it is turned only in the rotation direction. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a wire 2 is stuck to the outside frame, and the lower end is fixed to the center of the lower bottom of a rotating cylinder 5. The rotating cylinder 5 surrounds the wire 2 and is extended upward and crosses the upper side part of an outside frame 4 and is terminated in the upper part of the outside frame 4, and a supporting table 6 is attached on the upper bottom of the rotating cylinder 5. Stabilizators 8 and 8' and bearing stoppers 7 and 7' are provided in upper and lower ends of the rotating cylinder 5 to permit the rotating cylinder 5 to turn only in the rotation direction. In case that a moment of inertia is measured by a measuring device constituted in this manner, an object having a known moment of inertia is set on the supporting table 6, and the period of the rotative oscillation of the rotating cylinder 5, and a coefficient of torsional rigidity of the wire 2 is determined, and thereafter, this coefficient is used to the moment of inertia of an optional object to be measured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve an inclination sensitivity to rotation moment of a measuring base by adjusting the momont sensitivity with making a position of center of gravity synthetized from the measuring base, a measuring body and a weight variable by varying a weight quantity for placing on a weight pan provided under a rotation center of the measuring base. CONSTITUTION:A center of gravity measuring apparatus is composed of a swing frame and a swing frame supporting base. By adjusting the quantity of the weight placed on the weight pan 9 for sensitivity adjustment attached to the swing frame, the sensitivity of the apparatus is improved by adjusting the synthetized center of gravity position of the swing frame and a measuring body 4 at an underside of a knife edge (center of rotation) to approaching said position to the rotation center at the underside of the rotation center. At first, a weight 3 for measuring rotation moment is placed at a center of a scale 5 under a state in which the body 4 is not fitted on, and a suitable weight is placed on the pan 9 to make a measuring base 2 horizontal by a weight 7. The body 4 is fitted to a measuring body receptacle 6, and the weight 3 is moved to balance the apparatus. The position of center of gravity of the body 4 is calculated from the moved quantity.
