Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting accelerometer having high resolution by removing an adverse effect due to bubbling of liquid helium or liquid nitrogen, one of factors of acceleration internal disturbance. SOLUTION: An inertial mass 7 is fixed in a first cooling tank 2 oscillatably supported, separated from a permanent magnet 8 of a magnetic field generating means inside a magnetic-field-shielded inertial space. It is thus possible to prevent the inertial mass itself from being oscillated due to convection caused by bubbling of liquid nitrigen or liquid helium and eliminate noise due to bubbling of cooling medium liquid, thereby providing a superconducting accelerometer having high resolution.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triaxial superconduction accelerometer having impact resistance, facilitating manipulation, and capable of measuring micro acceleration with ultrahigh resolution and without resistance due to a hinge, as well as being triaxially freely displaced and precisely measuring triaxial acceleration, by supporting an inertial mass without the use of the hinge. SOLUTION: In a magnetic-shielded inertial space, an inertial mass 3 formed of a superconductive spherical body is floated and held by the Meissner effect in a spherical space formed by a combination of permanent magnet pieces 5. When accelerated, the inertial mass 3 having complete diamagnetic properties is displaced in the accelerated direction, varying the separation from the permanent magnet pieces 5 and the magnetic flux density. The variation is measured by each SQUID flux meter 10 that employs the Josephson effect.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superconductive accelerometer having a higher resolving power with a smaller and simple structure by removing the oscillation of an inertial mass as caused by the convection of a refrigerant as noise in the detection of acceleration. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises an inertial mass 10 suspended swingably within a magnetically shielded space in the atmosphere of a gas, a permanent magnet 14 as magnetic field generation means arranged adjacent to it, a SQUID fluxmeter 15 for measuring changes in magnetic flux as caused by variations of the interval between the inertial mass and the magnetic field generation means, A magnetic shield 11, the SQUID fluxmeter 15 and the internal mass 10 surrounding the space are made of a high temperature superconductive material. Thus, the magnetic shield is cooled down below the critical temperature in the transition to the superconductive state thereof, thereby keeping the whole of the accelerometer below the critical temperature in the transition to the superconductive state thereof.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-temperature superconducting accelerometer having high resolution, capable of miniaturizing and simplifying cooling equipment and using liquid nitrogen, one of unlimited resources, in place of liquid helium of rare gas. SOLUTION: An inertial mass 2 consisting of a high-temperature superconducting body is oscillatably supported in a superconducting magnetic shield 1, and a permanent magnet 4 is disposed as a magnetic field generating means to generate strong magnetic field. When acceleration acts, a gap between the inertial mass having properties of complete diamagnetism and the permanent magnet changes and flux density also changes, which is measured by a superconducting quantum interference flux meter 5 using a Josephson effect.
