Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily measure the axial elongation quantity of a rotary body at an optional position with high accuracy over a wide measurement range by providing a mark which is fitted slantingly to the axial direction of the rotary body. CONSTITUTION:Marks which are parallel to, for example, the shaft of the rotary body are drawn on the mark 2 which is slanted properly to the axial direction and a reference mark 3. Sensors 4 and 5 each generate one output for one turn every time the marks 2 and 3 pass in front of the sensors 4 and 5. Here, the sensor 5 generates its output signal invariably at a reference mark position regardless of the elongation of the shaft 1, but the output signal of the sensor 4 varies in time interval with the output signal of the sensor 5 because it moves axially as shown by a dotted line in a figure as the shaft 1 is elongated. Therefore, the elongation quantity of the shaft 1 is calculated from the time difference from a measurement time in a no- elongation reference time, the rotating speed (found from the interval between the output signals of the sensors 4 and 5), and the external diameter of the shaft 1. Further, the sensors can be arranged in parallel to the rotary body, so a measurement is taken at an optional position.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent turbo fan engine of a core engine separation type allowing reduction of noise generated by a control propelling device by using high pressure air as working fluid of a turbine for driving a control fan for controlling a body attitude. SOLUTION: The control fan 17 constituting the control propelling device 4 disposed for controlling the body attitude of the turbo fan engine 1 of the core engine separation type is driven by an air turbine 19 using as the working fluid the high pressure air compressed by a compressor 6 of the core engine 2 and supplied through a duct 10. Speed of the working fluid discharged from the control fan 17 and the air turbine 19 is lower than that of the working fluid discharged from the propelling device 3 for propelling, and is as low as that required for attitude control, so that the noise occurring from the control propelling device 4 is reduced. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain highly accurate measurements conveniently simply through measurement during operation by measuring the time being elapsed until a plurality of rotor blades are detected through rotor blade tip detectors after starting measurement of an arbitrary time and then storing, operating and controlling a measured time data. SOLUTION: The vibration measuring apparatus comprises rotor blade tip detectors S1, S2,..., Sn arranged on the rotational periphery of rotor blades B1, B2,..., Bn, output amplifiers A1, A2,..., An, counters C1, C2,..., Cn, memory means M1, M2,..., Mn, and an operation control section CTR. The counter begins measurement of time at an arbitrary moment of time and stores the time elapsed before an output signal is received from the rotor blade tip detectors sequentially in the memory means. Timing of a series of detection signals from rotor blade tip detectors is processed totally and statistically. Vibration of the rotor blade is calculated from the measurement of rotor blade passing time under a situation of a rotary machine where the rotor blade is not displaced from a regular position and the actual measurement of each rotor blade passing time at the measuring time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-fan type core engine separate type turbofan engine to reduce the manufacturing cost of a turbofan engine with simple structure by using high-pressure air as a working fluid of a turbine driving a fan. SOLUTION: The turbine driving the fan 11 which constitutes a propulsion unit 3 of the multi-fan type core engine separate type turbofan engine 1 is an air turbine 13 driven by supplying a part of high-pressure air compressed by a compressor 5 of a core engine 2 through a duct 9. Since the working fluid of the air turbine 13 driving the fan 11 is not high-temperature combustion gas, it does not need to use an expensive heat-resistant material, can manufacture the propulsion unit 3 at low cost, and can simplify structure and operation control. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance sensor for rotating body which is not affected by the change of reflectivity of a reflecting surface and excellent in precision, and realizes miniaturization of equipment, not requiring of complicated signal processing, and reducing the cost. SOLUTION: This sensor is equipped with an optical measurement system which detects the clearance dimension change in the circumferential direction of a rotating body 11, and an optical measurement system which detects the reflectivity of the rotating body 11. Accurate clearance measurement is made possible elimination-operating the parameter of reflectivity from the output of the former by using the output of the latter. The two optical systems are arranged in coaxial positions. By using lenses 3, 9, the projecting receiving optical path of a light beam is prevented from spreading.
