Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the video display device which can obtain a visual distance of a field of view of a real machine and a visual distance of a field of view being equal to a real distance to an object by a space docking simulator, in a simulator of an aircraft, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the upper part of a half mirror 1 for intersecting at 45 deg. with an optical axis of a concave mirror M, a CRT 2 is provided so that its display surface is reflected by the half mirror 1, and a virtual image 5 can be generated by the concave mirror M, and the CRT 2 can be displaced in its axial direction, by which a position in which the virtual image 5 is generated is formed between infinity and a point of a certain distance being nearer than it, and by setting the spherical center O of the concave mirror M as a visual point, the virtual image 5 is looked at.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily select the object to be corrected without requiring special knowledge by dividing the object into elements at its display and taking the element as an object when the result discriminating the right or wrong of the selection is correct. CONSTITUTION:When an operator selects the menu BR, for example, the video display is changed. As the display includes a part to be corrected, the selected operation is judged to be correctly performed. An object should be branched into OL and OR and the object OR is designed to include objects ORR and ORL. In this case, when the operator selects the menu BR again, the object ORR is selected but a part to be corrected (object ORL) is not included so that the selected operation is judged to be incorrectly performed. In this case, by selecting the R one-rank higher than the menus BR and BL, the upper object OR including the object ORR is displayed again on the video display device. When the menu BL is selected, the object ORL is properly selected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an stereoscopic image easily by combining a display panel with a polarizing filter and a display panel without a polarizing filter. CONSTITUTION:A first display panel 9 is overlapped with a second display panel 10 of the structure formed by removing a polarizing filter from the first display panel 9. The light from the first display panel 9 is controlled in the direction of polarization by the second display panel 10. When the light subjected to this control is looked at through one-way polarizing spectacles, the light is visible at one part and unvisible at the other part. If spectacles with the left eye part and the right eye part having different polarizing directions is used, the light is divided into a part visible only by the right eye and a part visible only the left eye. Two images can be thereby displayed simultaneously by forming the image for the right eye and the image for the left eye appropriately so as to enable the formation of a stereoscopic image.

To transmit a great amount of data at a time, an extended mode command for the number of transmitted words is received from the bus controller 1 and then data for specifying the number of transmitted words is transmitted to all the terminals. Then, the controller 1 transmits a transmission/reception command to a receiving terminal and a transitting terminal. Further, the transmitting terminal transmits a great amount of data in extended mode to the receiving terminal at a time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a light signal output including an electrooptic converter, by branching and converting part of a light signal into an electric signal, and then integrating and comparing it with a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:An optical branching filter 2 extracts and inputs part of a light signal 102, obtained through the conversion of an electrooptic converter 1, to a photoelectric converter 3. An electric signal 105 obtained by the photoelectric converter 3 is integrated by an integrator 4 and then compared with a prescribed value 109 by a comparator 5. The comparator 5 sends out an error signal by setting a flip-flop 6 when a integral output 106 exceeds the prescribed value 109, namely, when the light signal has an error, and when an error occurs to the electrooptic converter 1.
