Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the set-up performance, the operation performance, etc., of an optical data bus by setting a transmitting/receiving optical system formed on the partition wall of a hermetic part and another transmitting/receiving optical system formed at an exposure part opposite to each other and connecting the optical data buses of both optical systems to each other via a space transmission link formed between both systems. CONSTITUTION:The optical signal put on a data bus is sent to a transmitting/ receiving optical system 8 of an exposure part from a transmitting/receiving optical system 3 of a pressurizing part 1 of a space station. This optical signal is made incident on the system 8 through a space and sent to an exposure part optical data bus system 9 in an exposure part main body 7 via an optical fiber cable 10. While the optical signal of the system 9 sent from the system 8 is received by the system 3 and sent directly to an inside optical data bus system 4 via a cable 5. Thus the optical output signals of both systems 4 and 9 in the part 1 or the main body 7 can be sent to the data bus systems of the remote side with the space formed between both systems 3 and 8 used as a transmission link.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure the effective transmission of information by using a space transmission link formed between a light emitting part of a pressurizing part and a light receiving optical system formed to an equipment held by an exposure part to perform the optical transmission of information. CONSTITUTION:In a communication system for structure, the optical transmission of information is carried out within a pressurizing part 1 of a space station, etc., with an optical fiber used as a medium. Then a space transmission link formed between a light emitting part 11 of the part 1 and a light receiving optical system 12 formed to an equipment held by an exposure part is used for perform the optical transmission of information between the part 1 and said equipment. In such a way, the optical transmission of information is carried out directly between the part 1 and the equipment held by the exposure part via a space transmission link. Thus no optical connector nor optical fiber cable is required and therefore such difficult jobs as the attachment and removal of the optical cable fiber, etc., can be omitted at the exchange of experimental equipments.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect the position of a radio wave source with high accuracy by measuring a unidirectional position by a passive composite opening method and a position intersecting orthogonally with it by a fan-beam scanning method. CONSTITUTION:A passive composite opening function for the autocorrelation among received signals received from a radio wave source at different time and the scanning function for a fan beam are mounted on an artificial satellite which has a synchronizing track in a reciprocal motion shape viewed from the ground by varying a track tilt angle or eccentricity. Then, the reciprocal motion direction of a receiver viewed from the ground is detected by the passive composite opening method and the direction intersecting orthogonally with it is measured by the fan beam scanning method to detect the position of a radio wave source. This method constituted as mentioned above utilizes the artificial satellite having the synchronizing track, so observation in a specific area is attained and only one array antenna is required for fan-beam scanning, so the artificial satellite is easily mounted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize the extremely easy communication among space machines by discharging directly the optical signals put on an optical data bus connected with an optical communication equipment, etc., of a space machine into a space of the universe and transmitting these optical signals to the data buses of other space machines. CONSTITUTION:The optical signal 12 put on a data bus is transmitted as it is to a transmitting/receiving optical system 8 of a space machine 7 from a transmitting/receiving optical system 5 of a space station 1. Then the signal 12 is transmitted into the space to be made incident on the system 8 of the machine 7 and then sent to an optical data bus system 9 of the machine 7 via an optical fiber cable 10. In case the optical signal of the system 9 is transmitted from the system 8 of the machine 7, the optical signal is received by the system 5 of the station 1 and sent to an inside optical data bus system 4 via an optical fiber cable 2. Thus the optical signals of both systems 4 and 9 of the station 1 or the machine 7 are transmitted directly to the data bus system of the remote side with the space formed between the station 1 and the machine 7 defined as a transmission link and with no signal conversion, etc., applied.
