Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently drive each light emitting element of a parallel optical link. SOLUTION: While a laser diode array 41 is driven, a thermistor 121 positioned near the array 41 measures the temperature at its vicinity, and inputs the obtained temperature information A to a temperature control circuit 122. The circuit 122 generates a current control signal B which controls the current generated from an LD driver 42 in accordance with the information A. Upon receiving the signal B, the driver 42 controls the driving current C of the array 41 in accordance with the signal B.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fluctuation and to decrease the effect of crosstalk in the case of obtaining an optical power required for reproduction of an electric signal from a light beam with sufficient reliability in an optical transmission link. SOLUTION: A distance between a light beam emission end face of laser diodes 31-40 and an incident end face of a light beam of an optical fiber and/or an offset between an optical axis of light beams 21-30 of the laser diodes 31-40 and an optical axis of the light beam incident end face of the optical fiber are properly set so as to reduce fluctuation in optical power of the light beam made incident onto the optical beam incident end face of the optical fiber and to reduce the crosstalk.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an integrated photoelectronic coupler and connector which have excellent heat stability, satisfactory mechanical strength, and advantageous electric characteristics and of which price is reasonable. The base, substrate, and submount are formed out of the same material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease a number of part items, to simplify a structure, to contract size, to lighten weight so as to reduce a cost by connecting a silver electrode and electrode metal fitting baked in both end surfaces of a nonlinear resistor element, and thereafter housed in an insulating outer jacket. CONSTITUTION:After silver paste 2A is applied to both end faces of a nonlinear resistor element 1, the paste is heated at 550 to 900 deg.C to bake silver electrodes 2, 3 to both end faces of the element 1. Next, solder paste 4A is applied to a surface of the one silver electrode 2, to bring a lower surface of a flange 6a of an electrode metal fitting 6 into contact with an upper surface of this silver electrode, and after the element 1 and the electrode 6 are heated, the silver electrode 2, flange 6a of the electrode metal fitting 6, silver electrode 5 in a lower side of the element 1 and a lower electrode metal fitting 7 are connected by solders 4, 5. Peripheral surfaces of the element 1 and the electrode metal fittings 6, 7 are housed to be wrapped by an insulating jacket 8.
