    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin composition containing aluminum oxide nanoparticles which has excellent moldability, thermal stability in residence and high transparency, dimensional stability and excellent mechanical properties combined. SOLUTION: The polycarbonate resin composition contains an organic acid and aluminum oxide, has a melt mass-flow rate of ≥11 g/10 min as measured by the JIS K 7210 method under the conditions of a temperature of 280°C, a nominal load of 2.16 kg, and a nozzle dimension ratio (L/D) of 8/2. A No.2 dumbbell specimen of a 0.2 mm thick film of the composition obtained by thermal press-forming as provided for in the JIS K 7113 method has a stress at break of ≥8 MPa as measured under the conditions of a temperature of 23°C, a humidity of 50% RH, and a tensile rate of 50 mm/min.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent mechanical strength such as rigidity or impact resistance, surface hardness, thermal stability and transparency and suitably used as practical organic glass, etc., such as window glass. SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained as follows. A surface layer having epoxy groups is formed on the surface of inorganic oxide fine particles having ≤380 nm average primary particle diameter and the resultant inorganic oxide fine particles are then compounded in a monomer of a polycarbonate resin to form a polymerization reaction solution. The polycarbonate resin is synthesized from the polymerization reaction solution by a transesterification method. Thereby, the resin composition in which the inorganic oxide fine particles are bound through the surface layer to the polycarbonate resin with covalent bonds and dispersed in the polycarbonate resin is produced. The method for producing the inorganic fine particle-dispersed thermoplastic resin composition comprises: a step of dispersing the dried fine powder, which is obtained by going through the first and second steps, in a thermoplastic resin of a molten state or a step of preparing a mixture of the dispersion sol of inorganic fine particles in the organic solvent, which is obtained by going through the first, second and third steps, and the thermoplastic resin and removing the organic solvent from the prepared mixture. The solvent containing the nano-filler is directly washed and the free modifier present as a residual component of the modifier in the solvent is removed to afford a surface modified nano-filler. The resultant surface modified nano-filler is compounded and dispersed in a prescribed organic polymer.
