Abstract: The present invention is directed to a transparent touch panel including a transparent and flexible movable electrode film (2), a transparent hard coating layer (1) formed on an upper surface of the movable electrode film, a transparent movable electrode (4) formed over a lower surface of the movable electrode film, a transparent contractible resin layer (3) formed between the movable electrode film and the movable electrode corresponding to the hard coating layer, a fixed electrode-supporting member (8) disposed in opposition to the lower surface of the movable electrode film, a fixed electrode (7) formed on an upper surface of the fixed electrode- supporting member opposed to the lower surface of the movable electrode film, and spacers (5) formed between the lower surface of the movable electrode film where the movable electrode is formed and the upper surface of the fixed electrode-supporting member where the fixed electrode is formed. The transparent touch panel of the present invention has superior outlook and visibility. It prevents interference fringes and the generation of whitening on the panel.
