Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a composite semi-permeable membrane exhibiting excellent chemical resistance and having practical water permeability and salt-blocking property, and a method for producing the same. The present invention relates to a composite semi-permeable membrane, including a porous support and a skin layer formed on a surface of the porous support, wherein the porous support contains a thermosetting resin porous sheet having a three-dimensional network structure and pores communicating with each other and wherein the thermosetting resin porous sheet has an average pore diameter of 0.01 to 0.4 µm.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin porous sheet which hardly causes a crack when bent, and is high in bend resistance, and to provide its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: The epoxy resin porous sheet has communicative hollow holes, and contains an epoxy resin whose epoxy equivalents are not larger than 300 and an epoxy resin whose epoxy equivalents are not smaller than 400 as raw material components. A content of the epoxy resin whose epoxy equivalents are not larger than 300 is 40 to 80 wt.% of the entire epoxy resins.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sealing the edge part of a separation membrane laminate capable of well performing the selective sealing of the edge part of the separation membrane laminate by simple work, the separation membrane laminate, and a separation membrane element. SOLUTION: When a separation membrane, a flow channel material on a supply side and a flow channel material on a permeation side are laminated, they are laminated so that the edge part of either one of the flow channel material on the supply side and the flow channel material on the permeation side is positioned inside the edge parts of both of the other flow channel material and the separation membrane and, in a state that the edge parts of both of the other flow channel material and the separation membrane are compressed and deformed in a lamination direction at a position where one flow channel material is not present, the edge parts of both of the other flow channel material and the separation membrane are immersed in a sealant to be sealed. The separation membrane laminate is cut at the position remoter from the edge parts than the compression part in the edge part of the separation membrane laminate and immersed in the sealant. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a dry composite semipermeable membrane having high durability against an alkali washing liquid and reduced in a change in permeation flux and salt inhibition ratio before and after membrane washing, and the composite semipermeable membrane obtained thereby. SOLUTION: The dry composite semipermeable membrane is constituted by forming a dry skin layer, which contains a polyamide resin obtained by reacting a polyfunctional amine component with a polyfunctional acid halide component on the surface of a polysulfone porous support and satisfies the formula (1) : 0.002 -1 ) of the amide group of a polyamide resin, B is the maximum infrared absorption intensity at the absorption band (1245±10 cm -1 ) of the sulfone group of a polysulfone resin which forms the microporous layer of a polysulfone porous support, and C is the weight (mg/m 2 ) of the dry skin layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite reverse osmosis membrane having high salt suppression performance and high permeation flow flux and not reducing the permeation flow flux even by treating a raw liquid containing a contamination organic substance. SOLUTION: In this composite reverse osmosis membrane, a thin membrane containing an aromatic polyamide resin obtained by performing a condensation reaction of an aromatic polyfunctional amine component and a polyfunctional acid component is formed on a surface of a porous polysulfone support membrane. The thin membrane has a protection layer containing an electrically neutral organic compound and/or an organic compound such as electrically neutral polyvinyl alcohol on the surface.
