Abstract: A decorative unit for a wheel is described which has an annular decorative element which is releasably attached to a central hub element by means of a centrally arranged bolt. The central hub element can be attached to an associated wheel. The annular decorative element is provided with a central opening which has a removable cover element arranged therein in order to conceal the centrally arranged bolt. Furthermore, a locking bolt is described which is provided with an outer surface in which a groove is arranged which can receive a correspondingly constructed projection of a key in order to turn the bolt. The groove is held in alignment by means of a plastic bolt holder arranged in the interior of the decorative element. Devices for preventing rotation of the decorative element in relation to an associated wheel are also described.
