Abstract: New dyestuffs are described for keratinic fibers which produce particularly luminous shades without the need for an oxidizing agent. These dyestuffs have the formula: (I) or a tautomeric form thereof wherein each of R1 and R4, which may be identical or different, represents a member selected from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, acylamino and ureido; each of R2 and R3, which may be identical or different, represents a member selected from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, amino, N-alkylamino, N-(hydroxyalkyl)-amino, N-(carbamyl-alkyl)-amino, acylamino and ureido, each of said alkyls containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms; each of R5 and R6, which may be identical or different, represents a member selected from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms and alkoxy containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, with the proviso that when R5 and R6 are both other than hydrogen at least one is in a meta-position relative to the NHR7 group; and R7 represents a member selected from alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, acylaminoalkyl, mesylaminoalkyl, carbamylalkyl, aminoalkyl, piperidinoalkyl and morpholinoalkyl, each of said alkyls containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms.

Abstract: Indoaniline of the formula WHEREIN R1 represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; R2 represents alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, carbamylalkyl, piperidinoalkyl, morpholinalkyl, sulfoalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, acylaminoalkyl, (preferably acetylaminoalkyl or benzoylaminoalkyl) and mesylaminoalkyl; R3 represents hydroxyalkyl, carbamylalkyl, piperidinoalkyl, morpholinoalkyl, sulfoalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, acylaminoalkyl, (preferably acetylaminoalkyl or benzoylaminoalkyl), mesylaminoalkyl; or R2 and R3 together form with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached a heterocycle selected from piperidino or morpholino; R4, R5 and R6 each independently represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, acylamino, ureido or carbalkoxyamino, and R5 can also represent amino, alkylamino, hydroxyalkylamino or carbamylalkylamino. The alkyl and alkoxy groups above can contain from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and the acyl group can contain from 2 to 7 carbon atoms. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the above indoanilines and to dye compositions for keratinic fibers, and in particular living human hair, containing said indoanilines.

Abstract: Indoaniline of the formula wherein R1 represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; R2 and R3 represent alkyl; R4, R5 and R6 each independently represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, acylamino, ureido or carbalkoxyamino and R5 can also represent amino, alkylamino, hydroxy alkylamino or carbamylalkylamino, the alkyl and alkoxy groups above being able to contain 1 to 6 carbon atoms and the acyl group from 2 to 7 carbon atoms with the condition that R5 does not represent hydrogen, chlorine, methyl or methoxy and when R5 represents acetylamino, R6 does not represent hydrogen; it being understood that the above compounds can be present in the tautomeric form of that represented by formula (I). The indoaniline is usefully employed in dye compositions for keratinic fibers, especially living human hair.
