Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject agent, capable of inhibiting the synthesis of melanin, acting on spots of skin without any toxicity and capable of vanishing a coloring matter by using octopirox as a vanishing agent for the coloring matter or a decoloring agent. SOLUTION: This agent comprises octopirox, concretely 1-hydroxy-4- methyl-6-(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)-2(1H)-pyridinone in an amount within the range of, e.g. 0.3-3% based on the total weight of the composition. Furthermore, the agent is preferably used in the form of a dispersion containing an oil dispersed in the aqueous phase with a spherule such as an ionic and/or a nonionic lipid endoplasmic reticulum when used as the form for, e.g. local application.

Abstract: The composition of the invention comprises a first dispersion of lipid vesicles capable of penetrating the deep skin layers and containing at least one active agent chosen from antipigmenting and depigmenting agents and tyrosinase inhibitors for treating these deep layers, and a second dispersion of lipid vesicles capable of penetrating the superficial skin layers and containing at least one active agent chosen from keratolytic, hydrating and protective agents for treating these superficial layers.
