Abstract: A fluid treatment assembly includes first and second fluid treatment elements. The elements can be detachably sealed to each other in a nested relationship to allow a fluid to be passed through the elements in sequence. The assembly may include a retainer detachably connected to one of the elements and restricting lengthwise movement of the elements with respect to each other to prevent the elements from becoming unsealed from each other during operation of the assembly.
