Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a mobile phone that can be opened/closed in length and width directions, when a function is packaged for automatically connecting a line when a case is opened in the length direction in call arrival, the line may be erroneously connected with the case is opened in the width direction in call arrival. SOLUTION: A folding portable terminal device wherein a first case 1 and a second case 2 are connected via a hinge part 3, includes: a first turning shaft 9 for opening/closing the hinge part 3 in a length direction with respect to the first case 1; a second turning shaft 10 for opening/closing the second case 2 in a width direction with respect to the hinge part 3; length-direction opening/closing detecting means for detecting an open/closed state between the first case 1 and the hinge part 3; and width-direction opening/closing detecting means for detecting an open/closed state between the hinge part 3 and the second case 2. When the hinge part 3 is opened/closed in the length direction, the length-direction opening/closing detecting means detects opening/closing and when the second case 2 is opened/closed in the width direction, the width-direction opening/closing detecting means detects opening/closing, thereby avoiding erroneous detection. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal in which an impact of drop and the like does not act on a specific section. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 10 is provided with a lower housing 11, an upper housing 12, a connection part 13, a first rotary member 33, and a second rotary member 34. When the terminal is turned from a closed state to a laterally open state, an engagement pin 45 which is a first engagement part of a first engagement means 15, and a first housing part 55 and a second housing part 56 as a second engagement part 46 engage to support a second rotary member 34 supporting the upper housing 12 in a cantilever style. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can prevent damage of a lock pin or an engaged portion for fixing a second rotary member even when a shock such as a drop acts on the engaged portion of the second rotary member. SOLUTION: When a second accommodation 56 provided with a magnet 63 of a second engagement 46 magnetically attracts an engagement pin 45 made of a magnetic material, the engagement pin 45 is projected from a surface 11A of a first casing 11. When a second casing 12 is rotated on a second rotary axis 32, a second projection 52 is accommodated within the second accommodation 56 to lock the engagement pin 45. The second projection 52 can be rotated around an axis of a first projection 51. Thus, when the engagement pin 45 is not sufficiently projected or put in such an insufficiently-engaged condition as when the second projection 52 is not at a predetermined position, an external force causing the relative movement of the second casing 12 with respect to the first casing 11 causes the engagement pin 45 to be released from a second engagement 46, thereby preventing damage of the engagement pin 45 or the second casing 12 at the periphery of the second engagement 46 or the like. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a portable terminal thin and compact while enabling a second case to be folded in two directions freely to open and close with respect to a first case and securing fitting strength. SOLUTION: A connecting case 140 connects the first case 110 and second case 120 so that they are rotated on a first shaft and a second shaft crossing each other to be freely folded. The connecting case 140 is fitted to the first case 110 rotatably on the first shaft through a first hinge portion 130. The connecting case 140 is fitted to the second case 120 rotatably through a second hinge portion 200 rotating on the second shaft. The second hinge portion 200 has a pivot portion 220 where a rectangularly sectioned thin and long plate type plate 210 and an angle portion 230 fitted to the second case 120 are pivoted on the second shaft. The plate 210 is extended in a groove portion 162 of the connecting case 140 in a direction orthogonal to the second shaft, and fixed on a width direction in parallel to the second shaft. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a mobile phone openable/closable in longitudinal and lateral directions, and having a function to automatically connect a line when a housing is opened in the longitudinal direction in response to a call, the line may be erroneously connected when the housing is opened in the lateral direction in response to a call. SOLUTION: A folding mobile terminal device, having a first housing 1 and a second housing 2 connected to each other via a hinge portion 3, includes: a first rotating shaft 9 for opening and closing the hinge portion 3 in a longitudinal direction with respect to the first housing 1; a second rotating shaft 10 for opening and closing the second housing 2 in a lateral direction with respect to the hinge portion 3; a longitudinal-direction opening/closing detecting means for detecting an opened/closed state between the first housing 1 and the hinge portion 3; and a lateral-direction opening/closing detecting means for detecting an opened/closed state between the hinge portion 3 and the second housing 2. When the hinge portion 3 is opened/closed in the longitudinal direction, the longitudinal-direction opening/closing detecting means detects opening/closing state and when the second housing 2 is opened/closed in the lateral direction, the lateral-direction opening/closing detecting means detects opening/closing state, thereby eliminating erroneous detection. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal in which an impact of drop, etc., is not concentrated on a specific portion. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 comprises a lower case 11, an upper case 12, a connection section 13, a first turning member 33, and a second turning member 34, and when shifting from a closed state to a laterally open state, an engagement pin 45 that is a first engagement section of a first engagement means 15 is engaged with a first housing section 55 and a second housing section 56 as a second engagement section 46, thereby supporting the second turning member 34 that cantilever-supports the upper case 12.
