Abstract: Se proporciona un método de autenticación en un dispositivo de origen 100 que está conectado por comunicación a un dispositivo de recepción 200 en una forma de Interfaz Multimedia de Alta Definición (HDMI) (marca registrada), el método de autenticación incluyendo: adquirir un número aleatorio (s131); transmitir el número aleatorio al dispositivo de recepción 200 por comunicación a través de un bus de control de electrónica de consumo (CEC) 310 (s132) de la HDMI; recibir primera información de firma e información de capacidad 22 del dispositivo de recepción 200 por la comunicación, la primera información de firma siendo información en la que el número aleatorio es cifrado usando la primera clave secreta 10 del dispositivo de recepción 200, la información de capacidad 22 siendo información acerca de la capacidad de presentación visual del dispositivo de recepción 200 (s133); adquirir un resultado de una primera determinación de si la primera información descifrada es compatible con el número aleatorio transmitido, la primera información descifrada siendo obtenida descifrando la primera información de firma recibida usando la primera clave pública 21 emparejada con la primera clave secreta 10 (s134); y cuando la primera información descifrada es compatible con el número aleatorio transmitido como el resultado de la primera determinación, determinar que la información de capacidad recibida es información correcta para dar salida a video correspondiente a la información de capacidad al dispositivo de recepción 200 (s136).

Abstract: Provided is an authentication method in source device 100 that is communication-connected to sink device 200 in a form of High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) (registered trademark), the authentication method including: acquiring a random number (S131); transmitting the random number to sink device 200 by communication through HDMI Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) bus 310 (S132); receiving first signature information and capability information 22 from sink device 200 by the communication, the first signature information being information in which the random number is encrypted using first secret key 10 of sink device 200, capability information 22 being information about display capability of sink device 200 (S133); acquiring a result of a first determination whether first decrypted information is compatible with the transmitted random number, the first decrypted information being obtained by decrypting the received first signature information using first public key 21 paired with first secret key 10 (S134); and when the first decrypted information is compatible with the transmitted random number as the result of the first determination, determining that the received capability information is correct information to output video corresponding to the capability information to sink device 200 (S136).
