    Abstract: A cassette assembly which holds at least two electrical plugs which typically are connected to digital signal carrying cables. In one example, six of these plugs are positioned within a cassette, and are arranged in two rows of three plugs each for ease in connecting the plugs simultaneously to similarly arranged switch port jacks. A lever pivotally connected to the housing, when rotated, causes the release latch of the plugs held within the cassette to move from a locked to an unlocked position to simultaneously remove all of the plugs from the jacks to which they are connected. A housing clip is provided to be positioned within the housing of the cassette assembly such that a projection of the clip is positionable within a path of removal of a plug. A locking clip is also provided for blocking movement of the lever wherein the locking clip is easily installed with the cassette with providing a generally U-shaped construction with opposing arms, a compression resistant member positioned between the arms and a tab positioned on each arm adapted to engage an aperture defined in a cassette plug housing. In addition, bridge clips are provided to gang together two or more cassette assemblies.

    Abstract: The present invention involves a plug unlocking tool which comprises a housing and a probe connected to housing wherein the probe extends in a direction away from the housing. The tool further includes a first and second latch release fingers associated with the housing wherein the first and second latch release fingers are movable relative to the housing and an actuator positioned within and moveable along a slot defined in the housing wherein the actuator is associated with the first and second latch release fingers to impart movement of at least one of the first and second latch release fingers with movement of the actuator along the slot. In addition, the present invention includes a method for unlocking a plug from an electrical connection with the plug positioned within a plug cassette assembly and for unlocking the plug from the plug cassette assembly utilizing the plug unlocking tool.

    Abstract: A cassette assembly which holds at least two electrical plugs which typically are connected to digital signal carrying cables.     Abstract: A release latch for a pre-terminated cassette is described. The pre-terminated cassette includes a release latch to allow removal of the pre-terminated cassette from a patch panel, where the patch panel includes a retaining feature for retaining the pre-terminated cassette. The release latch includes a cantilever beam located on the sidewall of the pre-terminated cassette. The cantilever beam has a hinge point that allows the beam to deflect with respect to the sidewall. The release latch further includes a depressing tab provided at the distal end of the cantilever beam and a latch tab protruding from the surface of the cantilever beam between the hinge point and the depressing tab. The latch tab is capable of engagement with the retaining feature of the patch panel when the cassette is installed in the patch panel.
