Abstract:
An adjustable exhaust duct includes a lower duct section and an upper duct section. The lower duct section may be larger or smaller than the upper duct section, and each duct has four identical locking systems. The locking systems secure the lower duct section and the upper duct section.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for decreasing alien crosstalk use enhanced patch cords for introducing additional attenuation. The enhanced patch cords are preferably shielded to reduce alien crosstalk down their lengths and also attenuate signals passing therethrough to a greater extent than standard communication patch cords. The interaction of two enhanced patch cords results in two suppression steps for alien crosstalk and only one suppression step for intended signal passing through a communication cable.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a cable routing system with a drop down cable routing device that routes cables from the cable routing system. The drop down cable routing device is attached to a cable tray of the cable routing system. The drop down cable routing device includes an outer shell and an inner core. The outer shell has downwardly extending sides. A bottom of each side of the outer shell includes a mating flange extending therefrom. The inner core is positioned within the outer shell. The inner core has a base with sides and mating flanges extending downwardly from the sides. The mating flanges of the outer shell engage the mating flanges of the inner core to secure the outer shell and the inner core together.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a cable routing system with brackets that join cable trays to form the cable routing system. A bracket that joins adjacent cable trays includes a main body having a base with a top edge, a bottom edge and sides. The bracket further includes upper members that extend from the top edge, a bottom member that extends from the bottom edge and side members extending from the sides. When attached to adjacent cable trays, the longitudinal wires of the cable tray are positioned between the upper members and the side members and the transverse wires of the cable tray are retained in a space defined by the upper members. A bracket that joins perpendicular cable trays includes a main body and a securing clip. The main body has a bottom and two sides extending upwardly therefrom. Each side of the main body includes a deflectable side latch that engages a bottom longitudinal wire of the cable tray. The securing clip engages the main body to secure the bracket to the cable tray.
Abstract:
A metal locking tie (50) formed from a locking head (60) and an elongate strap (80) extending through the locking head. The locking head is defined by a top wall (62), a bottom wall (64) and two sides (63,65). The locking head includes a slot (66) that extends through the locking head from an entrance end (68) to an exit end (70). The bottom wall (64) of the locking head (60) has a tab (76) that extends upwardly toward the slot (66) in the locking head. The strap (80) has a first end (82), a second end (84), and an aperture (86) therethrough. When the strap (80) is positioned within the locking head (60) the upwardly extending tab (76) of the locking head (60) engages the aperture (86) in the strap. A metal locking tie tool (92) secures the strap to the locking head by displacing a portion of the strap in the locking head.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a wall mount bracket that supports a cable tray in a cable routing system. The wall mount bracket includes a back wall and a sidewall. The back wall has a top, a bottom, sides and mounting holes positioned therebetween. The sidewall extends outwardly from one side of the back wall. The longitudinal wires of the cable tray are positioned on the sidewall of the wall mount bracket. The sidewall also has a distal end with an engaging member that receives a bottom longitudinal wire of the sidewall of the cable tray.
Abstract:
A cable routing system fonned from a tray with a plurality of transverse wires and a plurality of longitudinal wires. The transverse wires form a generally flat top portion with downwardly extending sidewalls. The longitudinal wires are positioned underneath the top portion, side longitudinal wires are positioned adjacent the downwardly extending sidewalls and bottom longitudinal wires are positioned at an end of each of the downwardly extending sidewalls. The transverse wires and the 'longitudinal wires form a grid with a plurality of openings for routing a plurality of cables. The cable routing system also includes a sidewall removablely secured to the tray to retain cables routed thereon and a corner radius device removablely secured to the tray to provide bend radius control to cables routed along intersecting cable trays.
Abstract:
A push-pull plug has an outer housing (14) that may be moved forwardly and backwardly along a plug housing (12). When the outer housing is in its forward position, a latch arm (28) is in an upward or mated position and the plug will stay mated to a jack when the plug is inserted into the jack. When the outer housing is moved backwardly, cam surfaces (50) on the outer housing push cam followers (48) on the latch arm downwardly, moving the latch arm and latch to a downward or unmated position. The plug may then be removed from a jack as the outer housing is pulled. Plugs according to the present invention may be adapted for use with an insertion and removal tool (52) according to the present invention.
