Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce weight and enable formation from one-piece blank with the first and second panels by forming an inner sleeve with the first panel; an outer sleeve, cover and each end flap with the second panel, and a hinged top with a rounded end. CONSTITUTION: An inner sleeve 12 is formed with the first panel defined by an edge 103 and a line 112 of a board paper blank 100, while an outer sleeve 11 housing the inner sleeve 12, a cover member 13 and end flap 14-17 are formed with the second panel defined from the line 112 to the other edge 104 of the blank 100. The inner sleeve 12 is set at a height lower than that of the outer sleeve combined with a cover member 13. And a cut line 105 is formed at position of the line 112, short notched lines 107 are up to a line 113 of the back panel portion 18, short notched lines 108 are from the edge 104 to the line 114, and a cut line 106 connects the both notched lines 107, 108. This blank 100 is folded to form a box structure 10.
Abstract:
A box-like cigarette pack includes a lid (20a) with a tab (60) that extends below the bottom of the lid. All or part of the tab may be made readily removable by providing a line of weakness between the removable tab (60) and the remainder of the lid. The tab may be printed or embossed with any desired information and may form a coupon or coupon-like article when removed. Until removed, the tab may be somewhat of an impediment to easy removal of cigarettes or reclosure of the pack, thereby prompting the consumer to remove the tab as intended.
Abstract:
A front opening cigarette box (10) comprises a container portion (12) and an integral cover portion (14) which articulates between opened and closed positions. The container portion includes a front face (18), a rear face (20) generally parallel to the front face, a bottom face (22), and spaced apart side walls (24) inteconnecting the front and rear faces. The cover portion includes a front face (26) that fully covers the container portion when the cover portion is in its closed position. The cover portion also includes top and bottom faces (28, 30), and a rear face (32) contiguous with and forming a continuation of the rear face of the container portion when the cover portion is in its closed position. A hinge line (16) extends between the rear faces of the container and cover portions, and the cover portion articulates about that hinge line between its opened and closed positions.
Abstract:
A hinged top cigarette box is provided. The box has an inner sleeve nested inside an outer sleeve. Preferably both the inner sleeve member and the outer sleeve member are formed from the same laminate blank. The outer sleeve member has a cover member formed therein. The cover member opens and closes by the use of a flexural hinge. Alternatively, the hinged top box can be formed by separate laminate blanks. Plugs may be used to close the top and bottom portion of the hinged top box to hold the shape of the hinged top box and to prevent cigarettes or loose tobacco from falling therethrough.
