Abstract: The lamp (1) comprises a tube (2) with discharge chamber (5) and electrodes (3, 4) projecting into it. The lamp filling forming the discharge plasma includes mercury, a noble gas, and one or more metal halogenides. Proportions of indium iodide (InI) or thallium iodide (TlI) in the mixture determine the color coordinates of light produced.
