Abstract: According to the method, local transformation parameters are determined for partial areas (1-5) of the whole image (10) that is to be translated into a second image (10'). Successive calculation of the local transformation parameters for the partial regions is determined as follows: the transformation for the first partial area (1) is given or calculated; for the remaining areas (2-5) one area is chosen; a transformation is calculated in which the local transformation parameters from an already successful transformation of an adjoining area used as a start value for its transformation; the previous steps are repeated until a sufficient division of partial areas and transformations have been calculated. The invention also relates to a computer program and a device for implementing the preceding method.

Abstract: A method for representing different images of a research object, especially medical images of a patient, involves displaying at least one first image and a second image, determining an elastic transformation, which assigns image elements of the first image to image elements of the second image. Objects are defined which superpose the first image and are represented together with the first image. One of the objects corresponding to the objects in the first image is determined in the second image by means of elastic transformation and the second image is superposed with the corresponding object and represents the corresponding object together with the second image. Independent claims are given for the following: (A) A device for representing different images of a research object. (B) A computer program with computer program device for instigating a computer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method in which the information contents of an image of a moving object is enhanced. The invention also relates to a system in which such a method can be carried out and to a computer program enabling a data processing unit to carry out such a method. The method is used notably in the field of medical imaging systems. According to the method first a first image of a moving object is acquired by means of a first imaging method, said image containing artifacts which are caused by the object motion. From two further images, acquired by means of a second imaging method and representing the object in a respective state of motion of the motion, there is formed a motion model which is implemented in a different manner in image processing or image forming steps, so that the information contents of either the first image or a combination image, formed from the first image and the two further images, is enhanced.
