Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display preventing secondary electron radiation to the outside periphery of protection region. SOLUTION: Cathode plates of flat display screen of the type including electron emitting conductors are arrayed in columns, electron-extracting grid conductors are arrayed in lines, and an active region is made to surround them relating the peripheral protection region with the display.
