Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of the screen service life and a color drift by arranging converging conductive strips adjusted to insulating strips by substantially joining the centers together, and narrowing a width of the converging conductive strips more than a width of the insulating strips. SOLUTION: An anode 5 is formed on a base board 6, and alternate strips of fluorescent elements 7r, 7g and 7b respectively corresponding to colors are provided. Additional conductive strips 19 are stuck on insulating strips 8 to separate strips of two adjacent fluorescent elements from each other. A width of the additional strips 19 does not completely cover the insulating strips 8 since it is smaller than a distance between the two adjacent fluorescent element strips. Here, the strips 19 have the converging action to electrons emitted toward conductive strips 9 (r, g and b) to support the fluorescent elements by a cathode. Therefore, accumulation of minus electric charge on a surface of this layer 8 is extremely reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide practically even screen luminance from one row to other rows by providing a line-to-line conductive track, and canceling a possible lateral electric field between plural rows of two adjacent cathode conductors having a different electrical potential. SOLUTION: A cathode 1' is divided into plural lines 15, and engaged with a grid 3, which is deposited on an insulating layer 21 and which is divided into plural lines. A grid conductive layer 3 and the insulating layer 21 are opened at a position of a microchip 2, and each picture element, which is regulated by each intersection of the plural lines 15 of the cathode 1' and the lines of the grid 3, is provided with several thousands microchips 2. A line-to-line conductive track 22 is deposited on a glass substrate 10 by an interposed material between the lines 15 of the cathode 1', and connected to one end of each other by a track 23. With this structure, the line-to-line conductive track 22 is biassed to a nearly equal electrical potential to the minimum biassing electrical potential of the lines 15 of the cathode 1'.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the generation of a moire phenomenon on a screen by having a transparent surface of a fixed ratio for a basic pattern along an axis parallel to the overall direction of cathodes, regardless of the position of this axis in the right-angled direction. SOLUTION: A basic pattern is formed of picture elements 25 in this case. The transparency of the picture elements 25 is constant from the end to end of the picture elements 25 in the direction of grid lines 17 by the pattern of cathode conductors 13 and the grid lines 17. That is, each picture element 25 includes an opaque surface of the same ratio along an axis parallel to the overall aligned direction of the cathode conductors 13, regradless of the position of this axis in the right-angled direction (that is, in the direction of the grid lines 17). A grid 3 includes linear sections 23, but these linear sections 23 are right-angled to anode strips so as not to be a hindrance to moire effect. A more phenomenon is therefore invisible from an observer regardless of the position of the observer to the cathode surface.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display screen, which can withstand high voltage between electrodes, by providing a cathode engaged with an electron extracting grid, an anode having two type fluorescent elements, which are polarized at the same electrical potential, and at least two additional overlapped grids, and providing each grid with a hole having a diameter smaller than that of a coaxial hole of other additional grid. SOLUTION: An intersection of a line of extracting grids 3, which has holes 4 corresponding to a cathode 1 and a microchip 2, and a line of the cathode 1 regulate a picture element. Each picture element is divided into three auxiliary picture elements Pr, Pg, Pb, which are regulated by three coaxial holes provided by additional grids 15, 16, 17, and the divided auxiliary picture elements face to corresponding fluorescent elements 7r, 7g, 7b on a common electrode 9. The additional grids 15, 16, 17 include coaxial holes 19, 20, 21 for activating or restricting the corresponding auxiliary picture elements. These coaxial holes 19, 20, 21 has a diameter smaller than that of the coaxial holes 22, 24 and 20, 24 and 20, 22 of other grids.
