Abstract: A fork assembly includes a linearly fixed tube and a linearly moving stanchion. An air bleed mechanism is located in an upper portion of the fork assembly, preferably in a chassis crown of the fork assembly. The air bleed mechanism is configured to permit the equalization of pressure between an internal cavity located in the linearly fixed tube and/or the linearly moving stanchion.
