Un procedimiento implementado por ordenador, que comprende: extraer una característica tridimensional de un objeto real captado en una vista de cámara de un dispositivo móvil; conectar una región de presentación para un elemento de contenido de medios a al menos una parte de la característica tridimensional como respuesta a una entrada de usuario recibida en el dispositivo móvil, en el que el usuario define la colocación de la región de presentación en relación con la característica tridimensional mediante manipulación, desplazamiento y/o redimensionamiento de la región de presentación usando una interfaz gráfica de usuario; y definir una región de activación para el elemento de contenido de medios en relación con la característica tridimensional extraída, en el que una presentación del elemento de contenido de medios en un dispositivo móvil responde a la entrada de ese dispositivo móvil dentro de la región de activación.

Techniques disclosed herein provide for verifying the identity of a prospective social network member using an authentication process in which one or more existing members of the social network who are knowledgeable of the identity of the prospective member communicate with the prospective member in real time. During the real time communication biometric information of the prospective member can be associated with a profile for the prospective member. During or after the real time communication the existing member(s) can verify the identity of the prospective member. Once the prospective member s identity has been properly verified the prospective member can be granted access to the social network.

Methods apparatuses and systems are provided to facilitate the deployment of media content within an augmented reality environment. In at least one implementation a method is provided that includes extracting a three dimensional feature of a real world object captured in a camera view of a mobile device and attaching a presentation region for a media content item to at least a portion of the three dimensional feature responsive to a user input received at the mobile device.

Various embodiments for conducting proxy teaching for learning devices within a decentralized system, including an embodiment method with operations for obtaining, by a teacher signaling device, objectives data related to activities of one or more of the learning devices, generating, by the teacher signaling device, teaching routines based on the obtained objectives data, and broadcasting, by the teacher signaling device, teaching signals configured to teach one or more of the learning devices based on the generated teaching routines. Other embodiments may obtain objectives data by requesting reflex information from the learning devices or intercepting event report messages transmitted by the learning devices. Other embodiments may include broadcasting discovery signals to identify nearby learning devices and modifying teaching routines when objectives of the generated teaching routines cannot be achieved. Other embodiments may include transmitting an authorization request to a user device to determine whether to broadcast teaching signals.

Exemplary embodiments are directed to communicating information relating to wireless charging. A power transmitting system includes a host device with a transmit antenna. A communication interface conveys receiver information, which includes unique identifier information, from a receiver device to the host device. A controller on the host device monitors and processes the receiver information to generate notification information, which is presented to a user on a user-perceivable notifier. The transmit antenna generates an electromagnetic field at a resonant frequency to create a coupling- mode region within a near-field of the transmit antenna. The system can detect a presence of a receiver device with a receive antenna that is in the coupling-mode region and process a request for power from the receiver device. The system can also notify a user when a host device is leaving a designated region and whether the host device includes expected receiver devices.
