    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may identify location data associated with a physical location of the transmitting device. The transmitting device may identify a time-frequency resource within a slot, the time-frequency resource corresponding to at least a portion of the location data associated with the physical location of the transmitting device. The transmitting device may generate a sequence based at least in part on the portion of the location data, or the slot, or the time-frequency resource, or a combination thereof. The transmitting device may encode a signal using the sequence. The transmitting device may transmit the signal using the identified time-frequency resource to indicate the physical location of the transmitting device.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for wireless communication. An input bit sequence of a plurality of polar coded bits each associated with a respective bit index of a plurality of bit indexes and a respective subcarrier of a plurality of subcarriers for polar coded modulation can be obtained. A first interleaving pattern can be applied to a first subset of polar coded bits each associated with a first bit index of the plurality of bit indexes. A second interleaving pattern can be applied to a second subset of polar coded bits each associated with a second bit index of the plurality of bit indexes, the second interleaving pattern different from the first interleaving pattern. An interleaved bit sequence can be output to include a first portion corresponding to the first interleaving pattern and the first subset, and a second portion corresponding to the second interleaving pattern and the second subset.

    Abstract: In order to enable asynchronous, autonomous reception beam switching at a UE while minimizing degradation due to a transient in link performance, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives CSI-RS on different reception beams in different symbols, wherein one reception beam being a current serving reception beam, and determines whether to switch to a different reception beam based on a SPEFF metric for the different reception beam and/or a severity of a potential link transient qualified in terms of the expected CQI/MCS degradation in the channel. The apparatus may switch from a current serving reception beam to a second reception beam when a first channel quality for the current serving reception beam is within a threshold value of a second channel quality for the second reception beam, the second channel quality being measured using a current configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a receiving device to estimate an error vector magnitude (EVM) associated with each antenna port of a transmitting device and reporting the EVM to the transmitting device to improve communication throughput. The receiving device may receive a respective pilot signal from each antenna port of the transmitting device and may estimate, according to a distortion value associated with each respective pilot signal, an EVM for each antenna port. In some examples, the receiving device may isolate a distortion value from a pilot signal according to a channel response measurement of the pilot signal and a channel noise estimation of a wireless channel between the transmitting device and the receiving device. Additionally, or alternatively, the receiving device may use maximum-ratio combining (MRC) techniques to identify the transmitter EVM.
