Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of managing a set of wireless relay nodes to facilitate inter-node routing of packets.SOLUTION: Unique identifiers are defined for the wireless relay nodes to facilitate routing packets within the set. In some aspect, a routing table is provided to each of the wireless relay nodes, and the routing table identifies each wireless relay node in the set and a next-hop entity for each of these wireless relay nodes. Each of the wireless relay nodes then defines a forwarding table on the basis of the routing table.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an entity hosted on a mobile station to selectively provide portions of infrastructure information to one or more other applications hosted on the mobile station.SOLUTION: Venue infrastructure information is received at an entity hosted on a mobile station. A portion of the venue infrastructure information is selectively provided to one or more other entities hosted on the mobile station on the basis, at least in part, of a privilege level attributed to the mobile station or a user associated with the mobile station.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paging and power management methods for local network access.SOLUTION: Paging and power consumption are managed in conjunction with providing local breakout in a wireless wide area network. If a packet destined for an access terminal is received at an access point that provides local breakout, the access point may inform the network such that the network will cause the access point to page the access terminal. An access point that provides local breakout may maintain idle context of the access terminal, and thereby the access point may page the access terminal autonomously (i.e., without involving the core network). Local breakout is filtered at an access point to reduce the number of pages or packets sent to an access terminal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methodologies that facilitate providing physical cell identifier (PCI) assignment.SOLUTION: Neighboring access point parameters are collected and transmitted to a PCI assigning component. The PCI assigning component can generate a PCI on the basis of these parameters as well as other local parameters. The neighboring access point parameters can be received by evaluating signals transmitted by the neighboring access points, from UE communicating with the neighboring access points, over a backhaul link, etc. The parameters can include signal strength, identification, and the like. In addition, priority lists of PCIs can be provided to an access point. The access point can utilize the neighborhood parameters to select an optimal PCI from the list.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, apparatus and computer-readable recording medium for ranking recommendations for a pedestrian environment.SOLUTION: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a location aware recommendation engine. In response to a recommendation request, relevant recommendations may be ranked based on a current location of a user, a location associated with an entity, and/or accessibility criteria.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems, methods, apparatuses, devices, articles, and means for updating radio models.SOLUTION: For certain example implementations, a method for one or more server devices may comprise receiving at one or more communication interfaces at least one measurement result that corresponds to a position of a first mobile device within an indoor environment. At least one radio model that is stored in one or more memories may be updated based, at least in part, on the at least one measurement result to produce at least one updated radio model. The at least one radio model and the at least one updated radio model may correspond to the indoor environment. The at least one updated radio model may be transmitted to enable a second mobile device to use the at least one updated radio model for positioning within the indoor environment. Other example implementations are described herein.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reporting and resolving conflicting use of a node identifier.SOLUTION: A wireless node receives wireless signals and determines, on the basis of those signals, that more than one node use the same node identifier. The wireless node may then report the conflicting use to a network node. An access point that discovers a conflicting use may report the conflicting use and/or select to use a different node identifier. Upon identification of a conflicting use, an access point negotiates with another access point to cause one of these access points to use a different node identifier. In some aspects, upon identification of a conflicting use, an access point delays for a period of time before determining whether a different node identifier is to be used at one of the nodes.
