Abstract:
A method, device and system provide improved throughput for network subscriptions in multi-SIM, multi-standby wireless devices by triggering false or fake NAK/Tx messages prior to the tune-away. The technique includes receiving and decoding communications from a node at a user equipment during a first subscription communication mode; in response to a communication from the node to the user equipment after a certain time period prior to a tune away period in which the user equipment communicates in a second subscription communication mode, communicating a fake NACK message from the user equipment to the node; and after the tune away period ends, receiving communications at the user equipment from the node and responding with an ACK message.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and media are provided for recovery of information from redundancy version packets in systematic encoding environments when a redundancy version packet containing primarily systematic information may be corrupted. A plurality of redundancy version packets may be received at a user equipment device from a transmission device. Each redundancy version packet of the plurality of redundancy version packets may be based on a same group of information bits. A first redundancy version packet of the plurality of redundancy version packets may contain more bits of the same group of information bits than do the other redundancy version packets of the plurality of redundancy version packets. The same group of information bits may be recovered based on one or more second redundancy version packets of the plurality of redundancy version packets but not based on the first redundancy version packet.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for a user equipment (UE) to transmit an uplink signal, even though the UE may not have received a negative acknowledgement (NACK) corresponding to the uplink signal from a network due to a tune away period. The method may generally include determining that an acknowledgement / negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signal from a first network corresponding to an uplink signal is scheduled within a tune away period to a second network, and transmitting at least a portion of the uplink signal upon completion of the tune away period based on the determination.
Abstract:
A method of managing a new uplink (UL) grant to a mobile communication device includes: receiving a new UL grant from a first communication network for a first radio access technology (RAT); determining whether the new UL grant was received during a pre-tune away phase to a second communication network for a second RAT; and inhibiting uplinking of first RAT data to the first communication network during the pre-tune away phase in response to the new UL grant if the new UL grant was received during the pre-tune away phase.
