Abstract: A current sensor (402) may include a sense element (604) disposed proximate a conductor (542). The current sensor may be configured to couple to a first magnetic field (548) generated at the conductor when current flows in the conductor. An output (48) electrically connected to the sense element can produce a signal (Vout) that is representative of the flow of current in the conductor. The sense element may be oriented in a plane parallel to magnetic field lines (546) of a second magnetic field generated by a load (544) connected to the conductor.

Abstract: Methods and circuitry are disclosed to produce a first signal representative of the AC voltage signal and a second signal representative of an AC current signal. The first and second signals may be combined with a clock signal to produce a third signal. A phase angle between the AC voltage signal and the AC current signal may be determined based on a pulse count indicative of how many pulses occur in the third signal over a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: A wireless power receiving element with capacitive coupling is described herein. The design allows for a wireless power receiving element that extends all the way around the band of a wearable electronic device. In an area where one end of the band clasps to the other, a capacitive coupling is provided, allowing the element to extend around the entire band without requiring a direct physical connection to complete this circuit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a current sensor that senses current flow in a conductor by coupling a first magnetic field generated by the conductor to a sense element. The current sensor includes a shield including a first material that sandwiches the sense element to define a stack and a second material that sandwiches the stack. The shield is configured to generate a second magnetic field, responsive to a third magnetic field external to the current sensor that opposes the third magnetic field. The shield is further configured to prevent production of a magnetic field that opposes the first magnetic field generated by the flow of current in the conductor.
